I was doing the 6.2 quest and this kid's dad levitated and disappeared. Is that supposed to happen?

It's a glitch that happens differently for everyone. I saw someone not get it. The dad can fly off, the kid can fly off, or they can both fly off. I saw one of them both sink into the ground. It was such fun seeing the variations of the glitch!

I REALLY hope I get to 6.2 before they patch this, but it’s very unlikely considering I’m only on the first part of the Fontaine quest

Even if they never patch it there's a good chance they just behave normally. I never saw anything weird when I did it.
