how should I go forward?

so I'm a returning player who haven't played since the cornoa virus and now I'm increadibly lost on how should I proceed.

like I know which characters I want and stuff I like but as for how should I build my current character and how should I proceed with the story. at first I thought that finally genshin added a skip bottom, so color me surprised when I realised it's still not a thing, and now quest (outside of a very few like the archons) still feel boring with all the unnecessary dialogue.

so for my question: how can I procced to explore the games with IF possible to get the maximom amount of primo gems and still enjoy the game? also why the hell does world quests takes sooooo long?!

edit: I would love to know how should I build those 5 character considering of all the things that changed when I wasn't here: xiao, zhongli, bennet (still NO?), xiangling and fischl

Fontaine, Natlan, Nod Krai give out a noctieable amount more efficient primogems in exploring. So if you dont like dialogue (I dont mind it if im actually invested in the quest) exploring is really rewarding in that sense but just exploring new areas itself.

Genshin is huge theres always areas to be discovered and all regions have reward places like Dragonspine tree that have valuable in game items.

it's meant for you to "take in" the world, not an instruction manual.

The only primos that are time limited are from events and the endgame gamemodes (Abyss, Theatre and Stygian Onslaught). Every other primo will always be available so you don't have to rush to complete anything else.

I would recommend completing the Archon quests. They are still quite easy and beatable as long as you level your characters. Try to complete the current events as well, as they end next week.

You can find some rudimentary (but, in my opinion and experience, very useful and totally usable) builds from KQM: Keqingmains. Just type in "KQM \[character name here\]" and look for the most recent of the two guides. Even the infographics alone can be quite helpful to have on hand, since they'll give you a basic rundown on weapons, team comps, skill/level priority, artifact setups, etc.

Also, frankly: just keep exploring and playing. If you're not a huge fan of the story content and dialogue, while there's no skip button, just mash through it. Mute the game and listen to something on the side.

How to build your characters would depend on many things.

Like what weps you have available, what artifact sets and from there to make a gameplan on how to go on building them.

For main exploration you should use Xiao, Fischl, Xiangling/Bennett and Zhongli.

Having a bow user is useful for many world challenges and fischl is also a good dmg dealer.

Xiangling can clear many enemies easily with her burst, bennett is better for bosses or single target elite enemies that have more life.

Zhongli is an overall comfort character due to his shielding, and also debuffing of enemies while using said shield + some dmg and petrification.

Xiao will be your dps.
