Not that I’m against either methods though. More character interaction and lore is good with me regardless if it was one or the other.

The best part about Hangouts was that they felt very personal.

This is great too but this sounds more like world quest but with a character.

They can adjust so that the overall number of primogems remains the same and give us both.

I mean, they did directly say that it will actually delve into Illuga himself "That's right In the new version's World Quests Travelers will team up with Illuga. Working together with the Ratniki to resolve the troubles in this area and through that journey, you'll also get to know this promising young squad leader better and see how he grows along the way"

I love the pictures you get from hangouts' endings, that you can hang on walls in the teapot. For the longest time I used to beg hoyo to make them from 5* characters story quests too, in every survey... guess that's a lost cause by now 😔

nah there's some that are lore relevant in the grand scheme of things but most of the stuff like free verse or that one quest series about a guy who was questioning if he really wanted to be a qucusaur rider after getting the job or that other one about that village who went insane due to tataragami corruption and started sacrificing people or that other one about a guy who's forsaken his dreams but accidentally finds the wish of a child and just helps them out or that other one about a fatui debt collector going after the wrong person or like 90% of the world quests are not lore relevant for much of anything

Hoyo keeps very careful track of how many pulls they allocate to players each version; it’s what their entire business focuses around. The primos we got from hangouts were probably added in another form (like more chests, longer WQs with more steps) etc. (Similiarly, every time we get ‘more primos’ unexpectedly it’s probably deducted from the next map or something)

I agree. I love how easily repeatable hangouts are as well. I enjoy replaying Gorou's hangout everytime I miss his and Yae's banter. Kuki's as well especially her shrine maiden gig, again with Yae Miko.

Non of the AQs or WQs allow this, and until they don't I firmly believe in my opinion that HANGOUTS ARE SUPERIOR.

So this basically completely confirms that hangouts are dead, I'll miss probably some of the best characterization they gave any characters but with world quests not being as resource intensive maybe we'll get more playable characters now so there still a silver lining here.
