I would focus on building Noelle. Level her talents, artifacts, and character lvl as high as you can. Noelle is great for new players bc she shields, heals, and does dmg. You can include Barbara, kaeya, and xiangling in her team for heals, off field cryo, and off field pyro. Offfield cryo and Pyro will let u trigger crystallize for more shields. But I would focus on building Noelle first.

That's a solid start for a team! To build next, I would recommend Noelle or Xiangling.
Noelle provides a shield and healing. Give her half-decent gear and she'll be a very reliable support unit that helps you out a lot in dangerous or difficult areas. If you stay with the game for a while, you may end up replacing her with other units that also provide shielding or healing... but she is a really excellent investment for you as a new player.
Xiangling is one of the most used units in the game, even in high difficulty content. If you give her lots of Energy Recharge, she'll provide a ton of off-field Pyro damage. But the thing is, you may not *need* more off-field Pyro damage right now.
So: Xiangling if you want more Pyro damage and a long term investment. Noelle will probably be better for your gameplay right now, if you're okay with medium-term investment that you might not use later. Totally your choice but I would recommend Noelle.

The team is honestly fine as it is. Lynette for mobility, Chevreuse for healing, Gaming as DPS, and Kaeya for melt support and exploration. I don’t think any other lineup would outperform this.

I would have an electro or hydro leveled up as well. Even if you have a set team you like to use it’s good to have swap in characters for when you need the element for a puzzle or to be able to do elemental reaction attacks. Overload and electro charge are good attacks.
