Do you still have that one old friend you have micro interactions with? They’re one of the oldest friends I have that still plays while the rest stopped and left…Who’s your oldest friend that’s still playing and how long have u been friends?

I started playing in 4/1/2021

I was just checking my friends list and decided to delete old/random friends that have stopped playing (only have 9 left now on my list, most of them are whales for IT help I added lol) I had an older friend that used to help me with everything but long story short he became a crazy stalker bully so I blocked and deleted him…anyway I only have 2 old friends left (friends I had since the year I started playing) that are still playing, this one I rarely talk to hence why I can scroll this far back lol, the other has become a close friend but have lost connections now, I only have one newer-ish (compared to the 2) friend that I actively talk to…

I miss the days playing with friends in co-op for hours killing and hunting monsters together, talking about random shit etc.

Is it harder to get new friends now? Co-op is so much quieter now than before…

I haven't been playing long enough for an ancient friend, but most of my older ones have quit

I've had no problem finding new co-op friends though, normally through joining others first

Two of my oldest friends are a guy and a girl who actually share the same name. I met them in my first year of college, about 22 years ago. We all ended up living very different lives, but we always made sure there was at least one thing that kept us connected. When Genshin launched, we all signed up along with several other mutual friends. Now we’re the only three still playing.

I find that it's much easier to find new friends by joining miliastra public lobby these days

Its people finder menu also allows you to filter by tags, and there's a "Looking for friends" tag in particular

If you manually only add miliastra people who are also AR55+, highly likely they'll want to hang out in Teyvat too

But yes, I do have a handful of friends that I only spoke to briefly 1-2 years ago, and never again. Still friends, still active, but just never had any reason to talk again, lmao

back in 2021, the character I most wanted was Jean. But there was no way to guarantee her. I even considered pulling on standard banner to increase my chances.

There was a guy who was a Jean magnet that I met. He had C4 Jean then soon after got C5. Mind you, the game was less than a year old. Why couldn't I get some of his Jeans? He's still active though he doesn't do end game, leaving a lot of primos on the table. Doesn't even do F9 or 10. Casual player I guess. By now he might have like C10 Jean. His signature was "I didn't choose the Jean life, it chose me." I was kinda jealous. For me it was the Mona life that chose me.

It took 9 months for me to get a Jean. Lost at ~80 pity, and had to go another 80 pity to get Hu tao. This was the first and only time I was happy to lose a 50/50.

Didn't get any more Jeans until 3 years later.
