Character Teaser - "Columbina: Where She Dwells" | Genshin Impact
Night frost clings to her wings, rousing her from a sweet dream.
Fate, like a silken web, lies curled within a cage forgotten by time.

I feel like people from places where they wear shoes indoors have a stronger fixation on bare feet, because seeing them is something out of the ordinary, and may imply a level of intimacy.
I bet the feeling that Americans have towards bare feet is similar to how Muslim cultures like Malaysia feel toward bare shoulders. I've even seen examples of American streamers censoring their feet, but I'm not sure if that was to bait engagement or not.
In Japan? Totally normal for everyone to be barefoot on tatami flooring, and there is no meaning attached to it.
Also, I was not expecting this much Rerir focus in the teaser. I know he's intrinsically tied to the Moongates but I guess I had assumed he would just return in a later region, so I'm curious to see what they cooked for the story.
Columbina: NOoooooooooOOOo^oo
Bina: Oh, really? You had such maidenless behavior I couldn't tell.
Vedrfolnir: It seems in your rage, you absorbed her...
> But the oldest legends say that all people saw was the ghostly shadow of a woman in the mist. It wasn't until later that it became a full-blown calamity, Abyssal monsters and all.
Very clear "Tholindis" and "Rerir" eras to the Wild Hunt but Tholindis' one hasn't been seen for centuries...around the time of Columbina's birth. Me thinks Tholindis' pieces got incorporated into the new moon goddess.
Meanwhile in Teyvat, Columbina was born around the same time. It all happened 500 years ago.
Sure, there might be some timey-wimey shenanigans, but I don't think there was a significant gap between Tholindis jumping in, Rerir jumping in and Bina's birth.
The Moon Hunter in the region built by the debris of a failed moon and whose people worship a Moon Goddess. He is also the main cause of the Wild Hunt, a blight that has terrorized Nod Krai for centuries.
But now that Bina went through the Moongate, it's safe to assume that whatever method she's going to use to return might be used by Rerir as well, so it looks like we'll close the Rerir/Tholindis story thread after all.
Kuuvahki is actually the power, kuuhenki are the spirits. "Kuu" means "moon", "henki" means "spirit". "Vahki" is an internationalized version of an old word for "power".
And agreed, it brought my mind at ease to see she was not alone. A kind-hearted thought, yours.
*Rerir takes 2 trillion emotional damage and dies*
Maybe Tholindis got shredded just like Rerir, and their uh, consciousness bits, got mixed together? Or the funny answer being that it's all Dottore's fault somehow.
I have her at guarantee, 81 pulls, pre-farmed everything available.
SHES COMING HOME
.
Rerir: Nod-Krai doesn't have room for 2 supervillains!
Dottore: Oh you're a villain, just not a super one
ILL BRING HER HOME SOMEHOW
but im fine with a lil cheating and getting bina sandrone nicole...
Let's go, time to show these frauds the Truth.
*Trivia et Nothae estis luminibus Lunae*
Probably my favorite in-game book series.
I thought this was after the plot of Luna III, but I wonder if it's actually right after Dottore traps Columbina - i.e. after he intercepts her teleport, he throws her into an illusion
The first part of the video is probably what she thought would happen before Dottore intercepted her ascent.
That said, from some leaks/lore bits I've seen I think specifically >!this is after she goes back to meet the moon sisters in the past (crimson moon marrow call her Hypo in that AQ...) and that 'time to go' is she's arrived at the point she jump to the past so it's 'safe' for her to come out now (i.e. she won't create a paradox to come out now)!<
It's some of his fans who get offended over other people hating on a villain who's written to be a character most players "love to hate" that's just a mess to deal with
yeah no if you look at some of the recent posts you see all type of freaks glaze him
Just wait a little longer...
Let's get Dottore for real this time around
nahida teaser is like a LOT more depressing
Radish-chan's trailer left my very sad and more importantly: PISSED OFF.
I was ready for war-crimes man.
Nahida had no say in her circumstances, and had no help for hundreds of years
Realization("wake up") from what supposed to happen...without showing past and future like in Nahida's teaser
Genshin caters to a lot of kids playing, so death of an important character is so unlikely. I am not fazed at all. These teasers aren't a matter of tension but characterization and hype for a lot of folks.
With Columbina, we’d already gotten a pretty good picture of how any why her past life was shitty, so it’s less shocking.
Bina just doesn't evoke the same sadness. Nahida was dealt a bad hand from the moment she was born.
Columbina was just lonely and misunderstood, but free to go where she pleased.
>We know no playable character is in any real danger of dying anyway.
Devs have said we are only half way through the story. And in Honkai, they did kill off playables sometimes. Lowkey, that could mean they start killing people later. Just not right as they release xD
And either way I wanna point to the sign that says _"you don't need character deaths to make a good story"_
And sure, I agree, it's not necessary. The necessity or its lack were not under discussion here though.
So eager for the banner.
the other 3 make sense, lauma has basically been her bigger supporter (and also kinda like a real mother figure), jahoda was the one that saved her that one time and then there was the traveler
on the other hand we kinda never really saw columbina and paimon interact that much, so I find this small interaction kind of interesting
Maybe Columbina was starving and remembered that
Look at the first seconds of the teaser: we see that blinding White Sun. That is the 'ideal' state, the star in its Wolf-Rayet phase that the system is striving for. Her dream starts with that white light, which means her awakening was triggered not just by Dottore’s snap, but by her sensing the star's actual transition.
She woke up because the sun changed. The 'False Sky' can no longer filter the radiation, and what we see in the end is the raw, terminal heat of a dying giant. She isn't just waking up; she’s witnessing a cosmological collapse
im ready for wednesday
