I recently pulled Xilonen and have both C0 Mavuika and Arle, I'm not sure who'd be better to use for what instances or if one clearly prevails over the other that I should prioritize building.
Mavuika really wants a melt enabler or at least Furina, and also a Natlan unit that will regenerate her FS charges. She can also perform well in a chev overload setting. When you meet these criteria she will be the best DPS in the game. Otherwise, Arle is both easier to build and will perform better.

If you have Citlali, you can already make Mavuika’s premium team. Citlali/Xilonen/Bennett is her strongest team (technically C6 Iansan in place of Xilonen, but in general Xilonen is more consistent).

You don't need an electro specifically. Iansan is the only viable electro here and that is not because she is electro. Run Mavuika Citlali Bennett Xilonen.

everyone knows about how difficult to execute mavuika's combos are, but the more salient point is that mavuika's damage is very high with a low skill floor.

C0 Mavuika is so strong, that the maths & calcs people said she's stronger than even C2 Arle. There's also a misconception that most of Mavuika's damage per rotation comes from her Burst alone, but actually... Her Burst is just 1/3 of her rotation damage or something if you perform the combos. Her ceiling for skill expression is just... Incomparable...
