Most people who complain about it are just people wanting to grab attention by hating on the game. I only recently found out that Glaive had a bias against genshin (not that I watched him, I never did).

I always get videos from people (some even with genshin pfps!) trying to compare genshin to wuwa and claim that wuwa absolutely smashes genshin and therefore genshin bad. It's quite tiring because I legitimately do not care about whether the other game has 100x better graphics or animations if it's not for me, and even then it doesn't make it a bad game. I legitimately do not mind wuwa's existence and I really hope the game competing with genshin creates a better environment for both games, but some of the creators that claim to be unbiased ruin it for both by pointlessly comparing two games that have two wildly different trajectories in terms of their projects.

Don't rush the quests, and take your time, because rushing the game would only make it less exciting. There's lots of fun stuff coming up, especially in Fontaine
