Finished Durin story quest, so does anyone know why they made Durin's quest 5 calendar day, new format? kinda would suck if they do this for future quest, I will survey not to do it again , I rather have a complete two-hour quest accessed immediately than waiting for reset. how about your opinion?

Honestly, it’s probably just because a costume was awarded at the end. I don’t mind it here specifically for that reason and also that it’s a very entertaining quest. There were times when it was ridiculous (Tatara tales, Neko is a cat)

It was fine honestly, I loved those simulanka event/summer event stuff that had a temporary medium area to explore, so it was nostalgic to see it again, but honestly, I'm not Durin's target demographic so I wasn't that interested about him and was just semi-skipping, the only one I was interested in is some of the lore drops I manage to catch while half attentive, Basically the quest itself was fine - but the problem was mostly that I got annoyed on the fact I need a Server reset to do the quest itself.

So, so, so, to which made me think if they ever actually make a story quest like this for future characters I do like, I'd straight up be pissed than annoyed instead because I don't want to wait for a whole 5 days just to finish it when I can only do things on weekends I basically had whopping 24 days just to finish this quest lol, like some work came up, had to focus on holidays, and I got blocked so badly by the 'reset timer' 5 calendar requirement. I do not want something like that.

So, I wonder if whoever was Durin fans or fans of this quest specifically like this kind of format, cause Waiting for the next day is just too much for something that seems extra unnecessary? if you guys are not, lets send this on the next patch survey.

and oh, about tatara tales well honestly, I think those worlds quests are fine atleast, they are permanent in terms of it doesn't take away gems and 80 resin worth of mats even though it's so small and also it isn't so main characters lore relevant, I think missing info on the Witches group is a huge thing to miss for future witch associated events. like I barely even remember the whole sequence of tatara tales anymore too and I don't think its to relevant for nodkrai and you can just skip it for now for a new player.

Dress? Its literally just a small crown that is very much not noticeable, i had to switch between them multiple times over and over to notice the difference lol

Don't bruh me bruh. Open your eyes. He changes from more the dark dragon to more the light dragon. It has actual reference to the story you do to unlock it and is actually pretty nice. Its it extremely subtle? Yeah. They could have done more. Id it just a crown? No.

It's been months without any map. They have to drag out the tiny bits of story content to make it feel like the entire patch hasn't just been an hour quest.

Probably in part because the post-chapter would be extremely easy to miss otherwise.

Same reason they tend to stretch events out over multiple days. Though I wish his SQ worked more like those where if you start late, you just unlock the rest immediately.

that's what I thought on the first few weeks, it's always been like that. did massive events on the last 3-2 days lol. funny they treated this one like a world quest, but this is the main story relevant for sakes, why lock it on days.

Events are already time gated, making another specific time gating is kind of just annoying, it took me 24 days to finish this one, because I couldn't finish it all in one night, and if I do finish it tomorrow, I had to wait again for the end of the next weekend to play again. I didn't had time for story for two weeks, was busy on work and holidays, the timings were so horrible that I only manage to finish it today.

What I'm saying it's not about doing everything quickly in my end, but rather why do they think making me use up the rest of free time of 4 hours in the weekend be wasted because a day of quest only took 30 mins and I had to wait for next weekend for the next free time for me lol.

of course, I know it wasn't for me specifically. but lmao crazy you guys lack so much sympathy you act as if I'm the only employed player in this game with the passive aggressiveness.

Like really? I had 4 hours of free time past 12 days ago, and the whole quest took 2 hours and 30 mins as whole, so 12 days ago I would have finished the whole quest by then, instead I had to come back to it for the calendar lock in awkward timings.

When you keep bringing up your schedule as if it was a slight intended specifically against you then yeah, it seems reasonable to call it put. The game has _millions_ of players, the devs can’t take into account all the various cases that might come into play among that many people. So they choose to tell the story in the way they think is best.

Like, I get that it’s frustrating and I also wouldn’t want Hoyo to do the same thing with future story quests but I also don’t believe they will.

Honestly, I think the format fit Durin's SQ and I doubt that they'll do it for anybody else.

Durin's SQ is essentially told like a book, which a mother reads to her child. Children often have very short attention spans and fall asleep halfway through a long story, so children's books often have short chapters. Durin kinda is a storybook character, so it makes even more sense. We even get the book at the end of the SQ and can revisit the chapters.
At least that's how I interpreted his SQ!
