english bc it was set as the default and i got too lazy to change it
Landfall246012026-01-08 15:43
Chinese.
I think the voices fit the characters better and the lip sync is done for it.
WWWWWWWVWWWWWWWWWWW2026-01-08 18:00
yea, i play in cn cause i prefer to get the delivery originally intended for the characters. a lot of the eng voices always seem off for me
Ravemst2026-01-08 15:44
Why does anyone need to explain why. It's just a preference and nothing more. Since you must know I play with English voices and that's all you need to know.
Recent_Song74862026-01-08 15:46
Does it hurt to be curious?
SnooBooks46152026-01-08 16:09
If you're a cat, yes.

bruhmaster_jz2026-01-08 15:45
English: most of the time
Chinese: when im in liyue quest/lantern rite cuz i can understand CN
Japanese: when i feel like it or when im in inazuma
Dry-Intern5192026-01-08 15:47
English. I like understanding what I’m hearing when playing games.
Luna_MariaHawke2026-01-08 15:47
English voices and german subtitles.
TheFlash12942026-01-08 15:49
Japanese voice over. Mostly because I can recognise VAs from the different anime I watch. I also have a bunch of JP VAs I like(like Mikako Komatsu, Daisuke Ono, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Rie Takahashi etc.) and it's great to hear them play various Genshin characters.
23kukulcan2026-01-08 15:50
I used to play English. Then the voice actor strike happened, so I switched to Chinese. The JP dub always feels very... anime to me, which isn't bad or anything. I was just used to the EN dub, which sounds more natural instead of being a big anime performance. CN has that same natural vibe, and some voices sound almost identical to the EN ones I was used to. So it was an easy switch. I'm used to the CN cast now (especially for the newer characters) and have no reason to go back to EN yet, so I guess that's where I'm staying for now
elrelampago19882026-01-08 15:51
English, but CN is growing on me.
JustAnotherUser10192026-01-08 15:53
English. It was the default and now its feels weird tk hear it in another language
KuShiroi2026-01-08 15:54
Japanese voice with English subtitle. English is not my first language so I have to read subtitles anyway. I like watching anime in Japanese. I like the voice actors and I also understand the spoken dialogues to an extent.
Mewsergal2026-01-08 15:56
German native. I play completely in English.
The only thing that irks me is when characters speak "German" in-game. I wish the VAs had received better direction in that department. I don't think anyone managed to not butcher Rerir's title.
corecenite2026-01-08 15:58
EN because it's the only one i understand. I can do the dishes while the AQ is on autoplay.
DI3S_IRAE2026-01-08 17:18

English for story quests and cn for everyday playing. Because I like hearing what they say during the story
Shahadem2026-01-08 15:59
English because I speak English.
I've tried learning other languages and I just can't do it. My mind is just too rigid.
I used to be able to speak/read some Chinese back in college when I had some Chinese friends but whatever I did have has long since been lost.
Suniruki2026-01-08 16:20
CN. I prefer the original voice direction.
KineticKurt2026-01-08 16:21
Back when I played on PC, I played in Japanese Dub, but I got a new phone, English Dub when installed, JP dub was like over 7GB or something, didn't bother, too lazy to download that. I gotta say, it's been several months, the English Dub has been growing on me, like I am really liking Arlecchino, Ineffa, Eula, Ayaka, Raiden Shogun, Yelan, Flins, Neuvillette, Citlali, Mavuika, Zhongli, and Furina English Dub voices; although my Heart & Soul knows that Arlecchino, Ayaka, & Ei's voices in Japanese Dub is superior & immaculate
Mother-Squirrel73062026-01-08 16:25
I was playing in JP before when I understood nothing. Now being an intermediate JP learner it's just a mental burden coz my brain turns on study mode and tries to understand everything and it takes out the fun of playing. So switched to English.
katbelleinthedark2026-01-08 16:30
English because I sometimes close my eyes while playing and I like to understand what's being said.

I thought it would be interesting to see how the answers changed for each sub
No_Concept_13112026-01-08 16:48
English, because otherwise I would be missing out on the puns.
Tuor772026-01-08 16:53
Um... English, because I can understand it.
Keshid-pi2026-01-08 16:55
English. Because I don't have any other suitable. I wish, Hoyo make sometime more language versions, at least interface and subtitles.
YannFrost2026-01-08 16:56
English, because I only speak English.
htp-di-nsw2026-01-08 16:58
English. It's the only language I speak and understand. I don't like the sound of other dubs, either. I have been watching anime my entire life (and I am 41), but I always watch them dubbed.
RIkhard92026-01-08 17:00
jp because im used to anime characters speaking in japanese.
Tainted_Bruh2026-01-08 17:07
English, because I find it natural as that’s my native tongue.
I don’t mind CN when I’ve seen it in video clips, but I couldn’t actually play the game in it.
Plus-Theme-32832026-01-08 17:13
English
BotmanBruh2026-01-08 17:17
I don't understand the others nor do I like how they sound, so English. But I've been playing with voices off for the past 6 months and I prefer it this way. You get tired of the voice lines and random moaning after 5 years.
Unlucky-Party36502026-01-08 17:19
JP because the VA
DI3S_IRAE2026-01-08 17:19
I speak Portuguese, but the game is all in English.
I've been changing games to English for a long time now to... Well, study? Maybe.
I really like the EN voices
1pcguy2026-01-08 17:20
JP most of the time. CN for lantern rite
Sharp-Sport-32932026-01-08 17:48

anyway2008942026-01-08 18:26
I do enjoy cn furina "tang tang" tho
PhotonCrown2026-01-08 18:33
Chinese. Most agreeable Paimon voice.
SanjiInHSR_662026-01-08 18:48
I'm JP main but when the Luna version dropped I accidentally deleted the JP voice pack instead of the Eng when I'm cleaning my PC because of storage full. Excited with the AQ I finished it with the Eng dub but to my surprise It is goated too. Will stick with Eng till the Luna version is finish.
InukoJon2026-01-08 19:10
JP bc English has that tik tok wannabe VA stank. Like MHA dub. I could just as easily be using Chinese or Korean or Spanish or whatever language tbh I just picked JP when I switched and kept it there.
TheFangirlGrind2026-01-08 21:16
I've tried them all, stuck with Korean for quite a long time because Paimon was way less annoying and I liked the ages/tone of the voice actors they cast for some of my favorite players more than the other languages.
I ultimately swapped to Japanese because the Korean voice cast is actually really small. There are very literally only a few NPC voices for either gender, so all of Teyvat sounds really repetitive.
I also have 0 understanding of Korean vs some comprehension of Japanese, so that little bit of familiarity was nice.
The Japanese voice cast is also mindblowingly good, and that's with good reason: some of the biggest voice talent in Japan is in the cast. I was really shocked and pleasantly surprised to hear some very famous, very familiar voices! But even the NPCs and random side people are voiced extremely well. The Japanese take their voice acting VERY seriously!
Last note....Dori's voice performance in Japanese is something else. It is the most unhinged, "are you ok" sort of voice performance and I am in awe of the VA's efforts every time I hear it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Automatic_Place71862026-01-09 09:48
I switch between Chinese and English, but I predominantly play in Chinese. I originally switched because I loved CN Xiao, and since then I stuck with it. Plus, CN Paimon is also my favorite Paimon voice.
