How common are refunds from lootbar or even official top up services when using a gift card or prepaid card for payments?

Saw someone mentioning how retailers can flag your purchase for no particular reason just because it's detected that you paid with a gift card or a prepaid card because apparently they're more common in scams, and even though I've never had issues with my own, this did make me kind of scared to top up with lootbar. I feel like most people use their bank/debit cards so it's not usually an issue, but the idea that my purchase can get flagged just for that and I'd have no control over it certainly scares me.

Lootbar does not offer refunds. MiHoYo also doesn't offer refunds.

You didn't understand what I mean. I guess a chargeback is the term I meant to use. If payment gets flagged it gets charged back and hoyo automatically puts you in the negatives.

You'd have to be doing some incredibly suspicious shit to have your transactions automatically flagged as fraudulent and a chargeback issued.

This is typically not a concern for people purchasing prepaid cards through official channels.

If sites like that offered refunds they'd have gone under instantly just from people being dicks and purchasing primogems to random accounts then charging it back. All you need is a UID after all, and your UID is plastered everywhere so it's not hard to find.

Also chargeback fraud is just that, fraud, if the business you're charging back considers that you have no valid reason to and decides to fight you on it, there'll be trouble.
