It would be cute if the welkin moon x30 changed into Columbina giving us primogems next patch
I'll straight up buy welkin right then & there
Alpha06Omega092026-01-09 06:00
Might happen, current model is likely a place holder anyw
TetraNeuron2026-01-09 09:12
Welkin Moon is replaced with >!Dottore!< until you finish the Archon Quest
Arlathaminx2026-01-09 14:44
Nearly choked on my yoghurt at this
thegrayyernaut2026-01-09 16:41
*You thought it was the Welkin Moon. But it was I, Dottore!*
ChartsUI2026-01-09 05:20
The ??? powercreep is real
unidentified52026-01-09 05:29
The birthday is also censored? What if she "rebirths" during the archon quest, and the date the player finishes the archon quest becomes her birthday?
Nah, I hope not, haha, because that would mean we probably won't get her birthday art.
LunarSDX2026-01-09 06:24
If she "rebirths" her birthday would probably be the same day as the AQ to keep it consistent for players.
Sacriven2026-01-09 05:57
So she's basically a Disney princess lol

**what did Hoyo do to you with mental health gurl?** 🙁💔
Myrkrvaldyr2026-01-09 06:02
The way it's worded implies she's not actually blind but chose to close her eyes.
PublicTumbleweed13012026-01-09 06:27
yes she tells us in the ac. You still have few more days to finish it before the new one arrives :)
AceWissle2026-01-09 11:05
I don't remember that, what does she say exactly?
wolf14602026-01-09 14:51
the way she literally told us this in act 1 and everyone seems to have forgotten already with the amount of people ive seen being surprised by this today. not beating the allegations 😭.
Neospanner2026-01-09 15:40
To be fair, this is the line she used in Act I, at least in the English version:
>**The Damselette:** Reality rewrote the sky in words I could not understand. I did not want to read a tampered version, so I simply stopped looking.
There are a lot of ways this can be interpreted. For one thing, normally when you stop looking at something, it doesn't necessarily mean you close your eyes (let alone permanently). It also doesn't mention the moon specifically as the thing she didn't want to see.
After I read this in the AQ, I didn't link this to the reason that she keeps her eyes closed. I took it to mean that she stopped trying to find answers in the sky - no more, no less.
Unless there's another line somewhere else in the Archon Quests that I missed, nowhere is it specifically mentioned that she forever closed her eyes because she doesn't like looking at the moon.
wolf14602026-01-09 16:15
yes this is the line i was referring to, sorry for coming off as dense.
this is how i always interpretted it:
"reality rewrote the sky" - heavenly principles came and changed teyvat's laws and created the system of fate, hanging false stars as fate deciding constellations in the sky.
"i did not want to read a tampered version, so I simply stopped looking" - she decided to cover her eyes as she did not wish to see a world under an intruder's grasp.
one thing i will still say, not once was it ever hinted at that she would be blind, and i don't think it was ever a fair assumption just because she keeps her eyes closed. not sure where people got this assumption from, and honestly, this is the first ive heard of it.
Neospanner2026-01-09 17:04
It is VERY common in anime for characters who are blind to keep their eyes closed at all times. It's practically shorthand for blindness, there. Particularly if the anime takes place in a fantasy or medieval setting, where sunglasses would not be available. That's likely where the assumption came from.
No-Narwhal47922026-01-09 06:30
Hoyo is really trying to not spoil anything about the AQ while they do her marketing lol, i feel like her short animation is going to be in AQ.

I don't think they'd bother to censor the word moonwheel at this point, and we know she doesn't have a gnosis, so...
Well, unless she actually gets a Vision like Furina did in her story quest, I do wonder just what those question marks might turn out to be. Perhaps the 'origin source' of all moonwheels that has its own special name?
The part of her closing her eyes because she doesn't want to 'see this false reality' anymore is also particularly intriguing, even moreso when her trailer and splash art has already shown her to have opened her eyes again.
Does her finally finding her own true name made her want to do so now, or is she actually able now to see beyond the false sky and gaze on the real moon? (Or perhaps she actually will reach the real moon in Luna IV after all, so she doesn't need to close her eyes to begin with?) Gah, the update can't come fast enough >.<
HerrscherOfMagic2026-01-09 19:42
It could be that there's going to be a new "category" of elemental affinity; right now we have Vision, Authority (Neuvillette; from the Authority of the Hydro Sovereign), Seven-Shifting Serpent (Skirk; from Khaenri'ah's Universitas Magistrorum), and Moon Wheel (Ineffa, etc.; from Celestia, precursor to Visions).
So we might get yet another type of elemental affinity, and it could be story-relevant which is why it's yet to be revealed. That, or it might just end up being a Vision or Moon Wheel and Mihoyo just doesn't want to spoil which it'll be, lol
Valerie_Ohara2026-01-09 08:12
"If you bring her fresh fruit, vegetables, or fragrant bread, she'll show a hint of happiness."
Well, guess I know my summoning ritual for our little moon dove then.
Icy-Childhood-45872026-01-09 08:28
1000 bread it is.
Ok_Might_46912026-01-09 09:45
Pls tell me we can pull her without completing the archon quest
Lizyyy-132026-01-09 12:33
Ofcourse you can
Ok_Might_46912026-01-09 13:27
Really? Isn't she abducted?
We can't do the chronicles but can pull her somehow?
Apprehensive_Shift702026-01-09 13:39
well yeah...cause pulling for character is not canon to the story...
ban9132026-01-09 14:13
Like hoyo's gonna gatekeep a banner on which they can make money 🤣
Jnliew2026-01-09 14:18
To add with the other person's explanation, just in case you never realized unless we are directly told who are currently in the team (like in Archon Quests)
Characters don't actually join the Traveler's team permanently. It really has just been Traveler and Paimon trekking all across Teyvat these past 5-6 years
HorribleDat2026-01-09 22:32
You didn't need to do Paralogism to pull Durin.
GG35bw2026-01-09 15:30
So she was born in Silvermoon Hall, not in Frostmoon Enclave after all?
