So maybe I'm just a little slow but nowhere I place this chest will make it unlock.

Alright! If I’m remembering that puzzle correctly, it wants you to place the treasure chest in that little hole in the ground a few feet to the right. The arrow falls a little short, so it’s not unusual if you haven’t tried that yet
