Incredibly ugly how an entire elemental reaction's performance (Lunar Bloom) is dependent on a single unit (Lauma).

Although only two characters can make use of Lauma's buff (Nefer, Columbina), the damage drop off in team performance is seriously steep.

At least with Skirk and Mavuika, if they didn't have their premium teammates (Escoffier, Citlali), they have other team compositions that can competitively go up against their premium counterparts.

In IWTL's video, Columbina's LB damage went from 16k (no Lauma) to a whopping 50k (with Lauma). Despite using available and optimal alternatives, the difference is toooo great.

TBH Lunar Bloom (at least so far) doesn't really feel like a separate reaction but just a damage type specific to some units.

As someone who has Skirk and Scoffier, yes, Skirk lose a lot of dmg without Scoffier.

Bro, Laumaless Nefer doesn't even break [100k dps](https://imgur.com/a/0TsmgyS), it's worse than Inefaless[Flins](https://imgur.com/a/iUeq6uM).

Skirk goes from 130k > 100 k, so its much less than Nefer 154 k > 97k.

I don't, I have all of them C2R1 and will get Columbina C2R1.

The damage difference from going Lauma > Laumaless for Nefer is much more noticeable than doing the same for Skirk. Even them, rotations shown in the screenshot are the optimal rotations for Nefer, artifacts investment is what changes this, but the general % difference is the same.

Firstly thats some Skirk glazing, secondly Lauma can use her hold skill as well.

Skirk does not have a competitive counterpart lets be frank here.

I agree though that Ineffa and Lauma is overtuned by just the pairing or existence of Aino prior. If Flins or Nefer had only Aino how are you going to balance the 5 star? For example if Bina was as broken as Escoffier but for every Lunar reaction that would be okay what now? its full circle. I think Ineffa is more of problem than Lauma (I think shes better than the most unbalancing in Mavuika) btw since dendros first upbringing was surprise surprise hyperbloom which is too easy to get up to scratch.

Electro is a far easier element to pair with in an element type based game.

Also Devs can be completely wrong on testing and rnd.

Ive been involved in a metgame where 2 weeks before the release of something theorycrafters knew what one thing did to completely unbalance everything. What happened was company had to spend millions to refix everything heck they got a National Champ to step in the head role. Official apology and all.

At surface level youl'l be like okay thats good but how is it completely broken. Eerily similar pattern with Ineffa. So many people missed what was beyond surface value.

They fukd up with both Lauma/Ineffa. Ineffa is the one that has a ton more optionality.

Escoffier and Freeze, Chevreuse and Overload, Fischl and Quicken, etc etc... It's nothing new. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it's what we have, and expecting anything good from a gacha game is just disappointment waiting to happen.

Ignoring what everyone else is saying because it's not actually relevant to this particular case. The reason they damage drop off is so steep is because Columbina's lunar bloom procs don't scale with anything other than Lauma burst. This is a failure of Columbina.

Not that the reaction is that interesting.

Its also just patently stupid to complain about this. This is the same as saying "its so stupid that attacks get stronger when you buff them" no shit. Thats what the buff does lol.

I find it a bigger crime that Lunar Bloom REACTION and Lunar Bloom DAMAGE are two entirely distinct mechanics and unnecessarily confuses everyone except the nerdiest/most hardcore of players.
