when you pull a character there's a 50 chance to lose and get something from standart banner. If you lose - your next character will be 100% guaranteed. That's basic gacha for you

Yes but you can lose on ANY banner to them standards meaning you wasted 8 weeks since probality your gonna get c6 standards over time

What they meant is that when you pull for a character on a limited banner, you can lose the 50/50 and get a character between Qiqi, Mona, Keqing, Diluc, Jean, Tighnari, Dehya, Mizuki. So, you are more likely to get their cons than Ganyue's

Ganyu is only available from Character banner. Jean, Dheya and Qiqi are available form both Character banner and standard banner.
Say you are trying to pull for Varesa (Current character banner). Assuming you have 0 pity (lets say you just pulled Ganyu for example) then in the next 90 pulls when you get a 5\* you have a 50% chance of getting Varesa or one of the Standard banner.

The banners you pull on most often in this game are the Limited Character Banners. The current Limited Character Banners are the ones for Xilonen and Varesa, but the characters on these banners change periodically. (Next week, they will change to Columbina and Ineffa.)

ganyu c1 is nice upgrade to her CA, and its your only limited char here, she's not as good as before, but still usable in mondstat-sumeru/fontaine world enemies, i had fun killing hilichurls from far away..
c4 jean is also nice, one step closer to c6 and masterless stella fortuna, and its actually a constellation many people like.
so one for now, one for the 3rd batch. 4th batch pick dehya if your choices doesnt change..

i would go for limitied characters over standard ones,
at the end you can get their constellations by losing your future 50/50 and by using standard wishes during your journey
while for limited one you have to pull on their banner which be honest is a bit a waste for old units , without of course you really love that particular character.

in the same vein of logic, we would be gettting regulars from the 50\50, so if we can get those to c6 earlier they can be a source for masterless fortuna when losing 50\50

yeah this is even fair,if this is what you want achieve,
but personally bring a character to Lv100 is more a flex or again something to do if you really love a particular character,
there is no big gains in strength if not for HP characters scaling but even for them constellation>Lv100 ,
especially since the game is still balanced around Lv90,
Lv100 was introduced for players that pull a lot aka whales players xD , it is a sort of gift .
