Can I still calculate pity after a 1-year gap? (Returning player - GENSHIN IMPACT)
Hi everyone,
I recently returned to Genshin Impact after about 1 year of not playing, and I had a question about the pity system.
Since it’s been so long:
• Is my pity still saved from before?
• Can I calculate my pity accurately if I don’t remember my exact last pulls?
• Is there any way in-game to check old wish history after such a long gap?
I’m planning to pull in upcoming banners, so I don’t want to miscalculate and waste primogems.
Any clarification or tips from returning players would be really helpful.

Pull history seems to be a year, my last pulls I can see in-game were on January 9th 2025.

2) No
3) You could try asking Customer Support (Pause > Feedback), they have the info but I don't know if they're willing to share it.
No you can't easily calc pity in game once 6 months has pased.
the only way I can think of is to contact support, if you can provide the relevant details to establish account ownership they are able to send out a spreadsheet with detailed account info. I did this before to find out total hours played and I seem to remember pity and/or wish history being one of the things they gave info on. don't quote me on that though!
if you just dont want to watse primos then the easiest way, if a little tedious is to do single pulls until you get that first 5 star imo
I just checked it myself just now and the have other features like history for weapons (4star and above) and artifacts (4star and above), like when you got them and when you used them for. It does seem like the records are only those within the past year.
Though my advice is If you don't want either 5star next banner, it's probably best not to spend any pulls at all and just wait for the banner you actually really want the 5star on. Sniping for 4stars is risky business. That way, you don't have to worry about pity until you got them (or lost, but at least you know you're guaranteed by then).
It's technically possible that you COULD pull a second 5-star with the overflow wishes - but most would consider a 5-sar in under 10 pity to be a win, whether it's a constellation for the one you were originally trying for or a lost 50/50 resulting in a Standard character (basically, a nearly free guarantee on your next 5-star).
I’m confused what you mean by “I plan to pull in upcoming banners and don’t want to miscalculate”. Miscalculate what?
If you want X character, just pull for them until you get them or run out of primos? Like why do you need the exact pity you’re at. Still doesn’t guarantee you’ll pull a character before hard hit. Doesn’t mean you won’t fail your 50/50. Granted if you knew you already failed then you’re guarantied.
But again, why? What miscalculating? Are you spending cash on primos? If so, it’s not a waste? Because you may get varesa in 2 pulls, Columbina in 11, both weapons in 3. And have enough to get ineffa? You just said “I want multiple banners” implying you want multiple characters. So buying a $2.99 deal today versus the $99.99, you ain’t “wasting” primos….you’ll just potentially have some left over.
How does knowing your exact pity impact that?
It’s gambling. Yeah it’s cool to know you’re at 67 pity, you’re getting close! But I’ve also pulled characters at 10 pity. Both are just as exhilarating. Knowing I’m at 67 pity? Just pisses me the Fudge off when I don’t get character until 79. I’d rather have not known. But it also didn’t make anything different knowing the 67?
I don’t know. I guess I’m stupid but I don’t understand why knowing your exact pity impacts you “miscalculating”.. if you’re gonna buy primos, buy em and save em?
If you’re trying to earn primos….just play the game? Who cares if you earn exactly 16,000 primos before Tuesday when Columbina hits? Why do you need to calculate that? Just play? If you only earn 8,000….then you have weeks to earn the rest? If you pull her in those 8,000….then you have weeks to farm for weapon/next characters?
Why are you doing math? Just play or swipe?
It doesn't change your actual pity, you just won't be able to see where it's at.
if you didn't save your wish data with an external site that tracks wishes, it's irretrievable.
