who/what should i pull for?

Hi! so i’m a returning genshin player.., (i’ve played on and off up until like 2023 and i came back once in 2024) a lot of my characters are unfortunately older characters. (few exceptions like durin, furina, and navia) and im mainly returning because ive wanted columbina since she was teased 3 years ago😭

i know shes only good for nod-krai characters and I unfortunately don’t have any but I plan to pull on a few of them in the future. for the time being, I know I want to pull columbina..and I wanted to pull her weapon and then after I got both of them I planned to use whatever I had left to try and get Ineffa since I heard she is super good…but i’ve heard lots of people saying columbinas constellations are better than if I were to go for her weapon..is this true?😭

If it’s true, should I pull for her constellations instead of going for her weapon and then still try and use whatever is left for ineffa..OR should i pull everything on columbina for both constellations AND her weapon and just give up on ineffa all together? (i currently have 40 pity on the weapon banner)

ineffa +columbina is going to be the new wheelchair duo. i would def go ineffa over bina cons.

How many fates are saved up and you can grind during bina-ineffa banner? Ideally you wanna get both here, and cons + weapons are optional maybe on the rerun, but if somehow the fates are limited to only guarantee 1, I'd secure ineffa first, then bina + her cons + weapons. Everyone is doing that, securing the ineffa then can get bina on her rerun, since we dont know when ineffa will run again. But in your case, its totally okay if you want to prioritize bina!

ive been grinding a bit and plan to during the banners aswell. i’ve got 40 pity on the weapon banner, and around 25 or so on the limited! I’m heavily relying on luck to get what i want because i’ve only got about 90 wishes (i do plan to spend money if I don’t atleast get what I want though.)

this is why i’m also conflicted! i’ve heard a lot of people say ineffa might not rerun for quite some time. I don’t particularly care for ineffa as a character and while i’m not usually one to care for meta… i’m currently struggling to keep up damage wise with everything how it is.

No matter what I know that I definitely want to get at least one bina but i’m not sure what to do from there :’0
in a different life i could get all of these without breaking the bank but REALISTICALLY speaking… im not so sure thats the case.

Is columbinas weapon even worth it? i’ve heard she’s not a dps so im not even entirely sure if her weapon is something i should really concern myself with

In this case skip bina's weapon! I heard the difference between her wp and a f2p weapon is just a little. Then prayers from me on getting bina+ineffa, its gonna help with the damage in this current contents, the world enemies in newer regions are hard, my older units cant keep up if i want to play comfortably

Yeah, almost all of my account is older units and the only character i have who can even hold up whatsoever is my navia but even she’s struggling😭🙏🙏

yeah, like people buying C6 and weapons to beat endgame, match perfect teams...

And here I am f2p with free Aino for shilling and all C0 4\*(craft / event) weapons do exact same thing... beating every engame content (not dire ofc but there is no primos so who cares)

As a longtime Welkin player since 1.3, my advice is to horizontally invest in character teams first before getting constellations and banner weapons. Depending on your spending level, you then make decisions on which constellation or weapon to go first.

**RE: Context** \- 2023 puts us back in Inazuma. Back then hoyo made investing into key units more viable like going for C2 Raiden or Ayaka's signature sword. Fast forward to Natlan and hoyo pushed collecting units to access higher damage ceilings. Examples are Mauvika's melt team with at least Citlali or running Escofier to unlock Skirk's potential. Also endgame modes such as Imaginarium Theater required AND rewarded a larger roster and Stygian Onslaught catered to these specific team makeups

**RE: Colombina & friends** Colombina is turning out to be an important unit to pull since by herself you give your account access to the new lunar reactions. So older electro, geo and dendro units have access to a new damage floor with her.
However, hoyo put the damage ceiling behind making the new Nod Krai characters work with each other. This is why you'll see people recommend getting Ineffa + Colombina (or) Lauma + Colombina as new wheelchair teammates. My Ineffa + Aino helped carry my Clorinde and clear Fearless level in Stygian Onslaught - *my C2 Aino was more useful than my C6 Xingqui!* \- so I can imagine what just a C0 Colombina will do.

**RE: My Recommendation** So that said, I'd recommend going for Ineffa + Colombina first. It gives you more team options. ex. Ineffa + Aino can be a lunar charge core and Colombina can create another team. One crucial question is ***what is your spending level***. It will help determine what decisions to make based on what you can afford. The nice thing at least is there are many viable lower spending weapon options. I'm planning to run my Colombina with an R5 Prototype Amber.

**RE: Content Creators** You dont have to take my word for it. Content creators who have been playing Colombina on the beta server are coming out with their videos showcasing the Moon Goddess in action. Note how Colombina performs when teamed up or not teamed up with certain units.

So then my question is, if I planned to go for Lauma in the future, would you still recommend I pull for both ineffa and columbina? Or is it a “one or the other” kind of thing? Like is it ineffa & columbina, lauma & columbina, or can all 3 go well together? i’m not very well-versed on their kits but i’ve heard something about lauma only needing one other nodkrai character on the team!

An important deciding factor is which you value more

**RE: Fun over Meta...if it works** First, if you have a favorite character besides Colombina you want to see to make work in the lunar system, then go for that. Using my Clorinde as example, I love playing her so it made a lot of sense to wish for Ineffa. Even before Nod Krai, I saw the value in having an electro shielder who also does significant damage. So Clorinde can work in a lunar charge team. But say a pyro unit like Klee wouldn't benefit much from lunar reactions ; in that case investing more in the hexencircle units will be more useful.

**RE: Go more Lunar to reach the stars** Now I'll assume here you care more about strategy and meta. *If you want to invest more in Lunar reactions, the strategy here is to go after units which will unlock the specific lunar reaction's potential.* Want the most bada$$ lunar charge team? Go after Ineffa + Colombina + Flins. Lunar Bloom really needs Lauma to shine. Zibai + Illuga + Colombina will be the promax team for lunar crystalize.

**RE: Do the Robot -** that said, if I had to pick I'd say Ineffa over Lauma first. Besides what I mentioned already, I run Ineffa on non lunar teams. She makes an awesome teammate in Chevreuse overload comps! I say this as a Lauma owner as well. I picked up Lauma because my last Dendro DPS was Alhaitham - who has fallen way way way off. Lauma helps the viability for Colombina as a lunar bloom main DPS. I did end up picking Nefer too - who was two upgrades and a half from the Sumeru sage she is so strong. BUT that's a lot of units to wish on just to make a strong yet niche lunar bloom team.

Since you mention Navia, her new best team is with Columbina Furina and Xilonen. Columbina isn’t great in the absence of other Nod Krai units, EXCEPT for with geo DPS because of how lunar crystallize works.

It’s hard to give pull recommendations because they are so subjective, so here are a few thoughts. C1 Bina isn’t worth it. C2 is good. R1 is only worth it if you have C2. That’s a LOT of investment when you don’t have any units since Fontaine finished. But I also have no idea how much you do or don’t spend on this game. Based on that, I’d suggest not going for cons or weapon, just pull her and slot her in with Navia and see how much you like her first. Spend the rest on Ineffa. Since Bina is a new character she’s going to get a rerun in the not too distant future and you can invest in cons or her sig at that point if it feels worth it. Getting more characters should be a bigger priority.
