any ideas on what you guys think will appear in dornman port? cmiiw, wasnt the upside down barbatos statue originally from dornman port? personally im super hyped for the lore related things we are gonna uncover abt mondstadt

also why is there an abandoned sanatorium

i'm not sure if it's from dornman port, i watched some yt clips with people claiming it used to be where there currently is the rift that makes you reach the Spiral Abyss' island, but they might very well be lies.

Personally i'm glad we're going back to mondstadt after Hoyoverse matured a lot of creative and development experience over the years, i'm not being hyperbolic when i say that i care more about dornman port than i do the rest of Nod Krai (which i still keep in high regards).

Are you referring to Pilos peak?

Because it was originally the highest peak in Mondstadt, but after Barbatos became archon, he sliced the mountain up and it eventually became the spiral abyss island.

As noted by u/Javop in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/1q4qem4/liben_just_told_us_that_there_was_a_sanatorium_on/), this is probably a reference to a famous German novel (*The Magic Mountain*). Wouldn't be surprised to have a World Quest that includes further references to that story.

Lmao yeah even a lore enjoyer like me would probably end up skipping such sequences lol, they weren't easy to read. Maybe there could be references to those debates in interactables, notes and such.

my guess is that we'll be seeing more Istaroth stuff considering what the sanatorium up in the hills is based upon.
