Back again playing in 2026

So I played Genshin back in 2020-2021 and just stopped. Then I decided to try it again (coz I'm bored 😆) and after downloading it, I feel so overwhelmed. that's almost 5 years, so I really don't know where to start. For full context, I have not yet started the Inazuma, but then I found out that there are already multiple new ones. Then I have these other bunch of quests. I'm in AR 55. So, any tips of where to start 😅 or should I just stop it and quit indefinitely lol

use the interactive map (you can find it on google) when exploring an area.

Just do one thing at a time. I recommend playing through the AQ first. Once you're caught up, decide on something you want to do. Maybe do all the story quests or hangouts. Maybe go back and explore areas you want to.

If you get caught up in the AQ and just aren't feeling anything else, then maybe you can simply play the game whenever story patches come. Maybe the game isn't for you.

I do hope you find some enjoyment in it! Take your time and enjoy the journey.

Adding to this, I do highly recommend the following:

Do not start Sumeru Archon quests until you complete both Raiden Shogun story quests.

Do not start Nod-Krai Archon quests until you complete the entire Narzissenkreuz Ordo world quest line in Fontaine.

Start with the Archon Quests. These will take you through the main story.

After that, make sure you keep up with events first and then play world/side/character quests. It doesn't really matter how you do these. If you want to be orderly about it then start by doing all the world/side/character quests in Mondstadt and then work your way through in order. Ignore anything else on the quest list except what you're working on. Use the focus mode where you can. You will run into situations where you have to do something in another quest to continue on in the one you're doing. Don't let this get to you. Just go do whatever it is you need to to continue and then get back to the quest you were doing. If you can't figure out what you need to do, google work really well on these things.

for now complete archon quests first to catup to main story and then do what you like explore or complete other quests

I was in your exact same position just a few months ago. I had explored Mondstadt and Liyue but took a large break up until the release of Nod Krai. I wanted the limited Primogems so I did the Nod Krai archon quest to be current, then I've been going back and doing all the things I missed. First Inazuma and fishing and world quests. Then Sumeru and hangouts and story quests and more fishing!

I just take it one area at a time unless I am farming materials for new characters I like. It is all waiting there for me to go at my own pace.

Archon quest first. Newer ones you get extra primos if you complete it within the time period. After done with AQ do your world quest alongside opening chests and exploration. After those story quests.. hangout

Enjoy it while it last. The moment I ran out of quests to do and realize I've reached End Game makes the game so excruciatingly boring.
