What's up with Varka's writing in 6.1 and 6.2? Why they turned him into a wimp?

In the Nod Krai teaser Varka seemed like this confident cool alpha male guy who is nonchalant, in the teaser he doesn't even face Nefer when talking to her, that's how nonchalant he is. He dont care about that baddie, that baddie chases him. The Moon > Girls.

Now playing 6.1 story and starting 6.2 his writing is so awkward. I remember in 6.1 he felt more like an insecure happy go lucky guy that doubt his decisions, he certainly didn't feel like a strong alpha male type of guy. Now im starting 6.2 and from the start of the story he says he was drunk and did not know what he was doing last night and now he is just there...... huh......

Why they wrote him to be like a wimp? Can't Hoyo write a proper confident alpha male man? They just made a buff man with Venti's goofy ahh personality. What's next is he going to say ehe te nandayo next patch.

There’s a scene in the last part of the 6.2 quest that kinda shows him being a competent leader, and we are about to see him in action too from the looks of 6.3 trailer

He is silly and a drunkard, but he is also strong, a good leader and ready to protect people in need. This is what I imagined Varka to be, based on bits of information we had about him in the game.

Also, it's pretty amusing you are trying to say he is gonna talk like Venti soon, but then you use as example a line from Paimon, especially when that's one of her most memed lines.

The whole concept of "alphas" came from observing captive animals.

Actual wild animals don't exhibit that kind of behaviour. Even the guy who came up with the idea thinks it's dumb. The author who wrote the book that made the concept popular actually went as far as to request that book be pulled from publication.
