Official vs Knockoff Genshin blind boxes (its pretty bad)

I learned about these blind box figures and got a couple of the official ones (I was hoping to get the statues but got Ganyu and Diluc which I don't mind!).

Then, I saw the whole set on one of **those a\*\*exprss sites** and ordered it out of curiosity. If you find yourself curious too, here are some photos that show side-by-side how bad the knockoffs were.

So now you don't have to waste your money. Stick to the official merch.

Karzy07302026-01-09 21:01

FoolishPerformer2026-01-09 21:01

The one that looks like shit, probably

While the quality is worse Cocogoat still looks like a cutie

bluedragjet2026-01-10 03:31

The one with full sleeves

You have the audacity to pull my first 2 5-stars—2 of my favorite characters that I still use to this day—and say "I don't mind?!"

Kingpimpy2026-01-09 21:20

yeah always stick to the real one

your wallet wont be as happy but your eyes will be

the coloring is a night and day difference

I got some bootlegs of the Mondstat ones a few years back and they were fine tbh

GlitterDoomsday2026-01-09 21:25

Considering most of the issue is on the painting, someone with time and steady hands can probably fix this; the orb is the only part that gives away the bootleg status but you can also remove that and put a clear resin marble in place.

at some point the labor and material cost would exceed the genuine price lol

Yuukiko_2026-01-10 04:15

if you enjoy it it's not a problem

I would love these knockoffs! Re-painting these would be a fun weekend thing to do

That's just Ganyu after being in the wilderness for an extended period of time

ahmadalhuraibi2026-01-10 01:29

it's fine, i find both cute enough.

ddean77max2026-01-10 02:22

why did you give the price difference? "not worth your money" if knockoff is 1/10 the official it would be worth the money

syahrulmizan2026-01-10 03:07

Ganyu before overtime
vs.
Ganyu after overtime

Environmental-Map5142026-01-10 05:33

I find both cute, though the difference is clear, especially in the painting. I still find both cute

The real question is, how much does each one cost? That’s the big issue for many people, because for those who don’t live in the USA, buying the knockoff is not only a HUGE difference in price, but sometimes the only option they can actually afford lol

I was about to ask how you got fraudboxes then realized you ordered online lol.

In china if you buy from a shop its 99.9% authentic. Never gotten a fraudbox from stores in china

WashedWolf42422026-01-10 08:34

They both look like terrible dollar store toys.
