Laura Welsh is actually the VA for Mini Durin, so it's kinda nice they gave them her own character since Durin got new VAs for his new form.
vonsett2026-01-09 21:53
How awesome! Glad she got her own playable character as well
mayekchris2026-01-09 23:24
When I interviewed her last year she very much wanted to continue playing Durin, so it's a cool surprise she was given a playable character so soon
AmethystMoon4202026-01-10 10:12
She got 2 playable characters (technically) now! That's so nice
LOwOJ2026-01-09 21:18
Kayli Mills?...
jrodt3332026-01-09 21:43
She sounds like the new VA to me, so this was probably a mistake.
zephyrseija22026-01-09 22:19
Kayli Mills - We could only be so lucky.
acart0052026-01-09 22:56
She was banished during the VA drama.
Good at her craft but kinda garbage human being.
WinterWolf182026-01-09 23:05
She's not banished by any means. Nikke (which is arguably the most consistent source of work she has given that she voices the poster girl) has no intentions of dropping her as Rapi and she's still being cast in a ton of other things. Yes Keqing was one of her biggest roles but she'll be fine even without her, hell Nikke alone will keep her from being banished for a very long time seeing as she's been careful about not losing Rapi.
acart0052026-01-09 23:36
Banished from Genshin
Ryuunoru2026-01-10 06:17
None of that has anything to do with GI.
zephyrseija22026-01-09 23:10
I'm aware of the drama, and I could not care less. She was a much better actress than the new Keqing.
bdouble0w02026-01-09 23:55
Give her a chance, this is like her first or second time voicing her.
almondsadnesses2026-01-09 23:41
Really unfortunate she got replaced. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what happened with her during the whole VA drama? I wasn't playing at that time and I don't keep up with that stuff too much.
bdouble0w02026-01-09 23:55
IIRC she was one of the VAs that bullied Jacob Takanashi, Kinich's new(er) VA. She also defended Moze's former VA (from honkai star rail) who had allegations of and admitted sexual and emotional abuse
almondsadnesses2026-01-10 00:07
Holy damn. Thanks for telling me.
NoMaize72132026-01-10 02:36
Moze's previous VA, just to specify (Moze's current VA is fine, he's also Kaveh in Genshin)
bdouble0w02026-01-10 02:38
Right, oops! Will clarify
drxemyfluff2026-01-09 23:36
Hard disagree
AdrianArmbruster2026-01-10 00:28
FWIW she came back to voice a bit role in a Star rail advertisement a few weeks back unless I completely hallucinated the acting credits for that.
WinterWolf182026-01-10 03:22
She's still Dubra? That's a surprise. I guess if she's still comfortable enough working for Hoyo then there should be no issue though (don't personally like her and I take huge issue to her defending Niosi but she doesn't even begin to compare to Tighnari's old va and could easily redeem herself).
Balager472026-01-09 22:30
Laura Welsh, Jennifer English, We need to find a Jessica Scottish and make her a VA.
Silent_Silhouettes2026-01-09 23:00
do we have Jennifer English in genshin?? or is she just in wuwa
Balager472026-01-09 23:03
Not yet, but she Is a well known voice actress. Considering her track record Hoyoverse will definitely give her a role to snatch an award.
Silent_Silhouettes2026-01-09 23:05
i pray they do and i pray i love the character enough to triple crown them, i loved her perfomance as Maelle (expedition 33)- i need more of her
Balager472026-01-09 23:07
She's also Shadowheart in BG3.
Silent_Silhouettes2026-01-09 23:09
oh yeah ik, i just havent played the game so i didnt mention it
REMERALDX2026-01-10 00:01
I don't hoyo knows who that is even, the studio that however does the voice acting for English dub however may
MaitieS2026-01-10 01:03
No offense to Jennifer English, but after I heard her 3 times sound exactly the same in every single of her games, I really am not that interestewd in seeing her in GI, as she would sound exactly the same like Shadowheart, Carlotta or Maelle...
Also I still feel a bit bad for Troy Baker? Like why would they even make such a speach "best liar" when Jennifer sounds literally the same? Like it still gives me yikes whenever I remember it.
Still great performance, but for me personally I prefer if I don't hear the same voice in 3-4 different games.
WinterWolf182026-01-10 03:20
I wouldn't feel bad for Troy Baker, the dude's ego is larger then Mount Fuji and he's been all for AI stuff as of late.
FlameDragoon9332026-01-10 18:21
> he's been all for AI stuff as of late.
oof, what a sad day to learn this. I liked him as Valvatorez in Disgaea 4
Iamliterallyfood2026-01-10 08:24
I hope so
masternieva6662026-01-10 13:46
Hoping she voice Tsaritsa.
Starmark_1152026-01-12 07:48
Ten dollars she nabs Tsaritsa
jamieaka2026-01-10 02:27
I don’t know how she would turn out in Genshin considering hoyo is allergic to natural accents and force almost everyone to sound American
Silent_Silhouettes2026-01-10 12:49
true that, it sucks
Pavme12026-01-10 04:44
I don’t play with English VA. Is this meant to be a pun with nationalities in the VA’s names? Like Laura “Welsh”, Jennifer “English”, and now wanting Scottish Jessica?
katbelleinthedark2026-01-10 09:25
Yes.
AmethystMoon4202026-01-09 22:36
JONATHAN HA!? THAT'S YUUKEN FROM TWST! Yoooooooo nice!
bdouble0w02026-01-09 23:52
CHILDE'S BACK??? SWEET
SeaworthyDame2026-01-10 00:24
I love Kieth, he’s been with me since childhood, from Skyrim(various roles), to overwatch(Torbjorn), to daddy Zhongli
Midnight38792026-01-10 04:21
He has got to be one of my favourite va’s
dubspool-2026-01-10 04:39
I met him at a con semi recently and getting him to say "Do you get to the Cloud District very often. Oh what am I saying, of course you don’t." was pretty funny. He seems like a chill dude too.
SeaworthyDame2026-01-10 18:04
I would love to ask if he plays anything or watches anything he’s been in ☺️
Darkest_27052026-01-10 07:44
I love that he's also Hunk, the "My Extraction Point!" guy from Resident Evil.
ApprehensiveLynx14892026-01-10 00:55
Did they forget to include the VA credits when they posted the trailer last week?
Unusual_Equivalent_2026-01-10 01:06
I just learned someone I worked with is Il Dottore (Mick Wingert). We worked at a radio station together
Throwaway-_-Anxiety2026-01-10 01:45
Ha?
NeosFlatReflection2026-01-10 02:08
Lanyan jumpscare
SpyFromMarsHXJD2026-01-10 02:14
Kinda sad Elizabeth Charles didn’t get Zibai after such a good job at the fan animation for this character.
DirectChrysophenineG2026-01-10 02:30
kinda funny Dottore (a mad-scientist, acquiring the primordial power of Teyvat) has the same VA as that fluffy professor from LoL that died(?) in Arcane Season 2.
bivampirical2026-01-10 02:43
>!he's a yordle so according to lore he should be alive, just back in bandle city. idk for sure though, i don't play LoL!<
DirectChrysophenineG2026-01-10 04:39
Good to know, i love his songs.
IWatchFailures2026-01-10 04:01
Yordles don't die, they're immortal. In fact, he just goes back to Bandle City.
Midnight38792026-01-10 04:22
Never thought I would get spoiled Arcane s2 (I’m watching it rn) on a genshin sub of all things 💀
DirectChrysophenineG2026-01-10 04:30
I'm so sorry. I commented using my phone, I don't know how to add the spoiler's block.
Midnight38792026-01-10 05:58
It’s all right lol, but for future reference it’s > ! ! < but without the spaces
Unicorn_insomniac2026-01-13 06:59
same im literally halfway through the season tf :(
masternieva6662026-01-10 13:49
Maybe were gonna get a old dottore with Heimer voice.
YumenoShortcake2026-01-10 02:36
MARSHMALLOW BUNNY COOKIE IS SANDRONE. I LOVE IT 💖
Fluffy-Good-39242026-01-10 02:46
Oof no lumine
sugarpopkitty2026-01-10 03:13
starting to hate aether bc it feels like he butts his ass as traveller all the time
chipotleigh2026-01-10 04:23
What?
sugarpopkitty2026-01-10 04:24
yeah it makes no sense but it seriously gets annoying seeing aether everywhere and not lumine
Ryuunoru2026-01-10 06:14
Look better
sugarpopkitty2026-01-10 07:04
huh
Prestigious_East_5132026-01-10 02:58
no way LAN YAN MENTIONED
quocthuan132k2026-01-10 03:06
WHERE’S YUN JIN??? AGHHHHHHHHHH
tbonehavoc2026-01-10 03:27
I didn't know they announced who Paimon's new VA was!
katbelleinthedark2026-01-10 09:28
She announced herself like a month ago
UrGettingcooked09242026-01-10 03:27
Who are these people
Andrassa2026-01-10 04:09
Wait Kayli Mills? Didn’t she get replaced a while back?
KaleidoscopeDear40802026-01-10 04:28
I think it's a typo. While she's not credited yet, many people think the new Keqing VA is Rosie Day.
aiyafem2026-01-10 04:32
wait what is this?
anarchy7532026-01-10 04:49
Hooray for medium male characters voiced by men!
roflanrofler2026-01-10 04:58
Oh I thought that Yaoyao's VA was changed because she sounded less monotonous
ashnelly1012026-01-10 05:15
What’s interesting is kayli mills still voicing keqing? I thought she was fired
WinterWolf182026-01-10 05:18
It's a typo, the new Keqing va can be clearly heard in the trailer.
_crystalpine_2026-01-10 06:51
Bro when I saw Illuga was voiced by Jonathon Ha I got so excited, loved him in TWST Wonderland and Medalist this past year
Fair-Turnover-83292026-01-10 17:14
Jon was yuuken right?
_crystalpine_2026-01-10 18:46
Yep
Wide-Independence-452026-01-10 07:02
I had a suspicion Illuga was Jonathon!! I’m glad I was right!
Deshik22026-01-10 07:37
Where this from
katbelleinthedark2026-01-10 09:30
Gong by the characters mentioned, the VAs list for the 6.3 trailer.
Fast-Ad-24152026-01-10 12:20
Kayli Mills, nope ..not anymore..and that was definetely not just a typo there
bluefalconlk2026-01-10 15:24
Omg I read this too quick and thought one said Zhongli and had a heart attack
