what does the long term encounter points do exactly?
all i know is if i create 3 condensed resin, it automatically gives me an option to immediately skip my dailies, i've been using this when i have no time to play due to exams or just bored

that's exactly what it does. you can spend 120 resin and it'll convert it into skipping your dailies.

They switched up the dailies system to count other game activity towards dailies. This includes events, archon quests, world exploration. And they store this progress as encounter points so that you can collect the reward later. The way to do it is to use 120 resin which enables you to cash in these encounter points instead of actually doing the activity or doing a daily.
You can see that if you complete a new quest you can directly redeem your daily rewards without spending resin. If you've already done the daily for that day this gets converted to the corresponding encounter points.

Yes for sure. But they only count when you get the quest completed mark so make sure of that. Btw opening chests, collecting oculi, using the parametric transformer also count : D

You only need 2 condensed resin now since you only need to spend 120 resin to get all 4 dailies done and condensed resin now costs 60 resin each
