Is this the norm for 4 star cons?

I have done almost 300 wishes now in varesa xilonen banner and still not a single c6 4 star. I want atleast chevreuse or iansan to be c6 for my varesa before this banner ends. So far i have got C0 varesa c0 xilonen c1 gaming c5 chevreuse c5 iansan.

I new relatively new to genshin started durin arclehhino zhongli rerun and currently on sumeru archon+aranara quest so i didn't knew how much pulls it requires genrally to get c6 4 star most people said it's around 180-240 pulls but i have done now 270+ pulls and still don't know how many I have to do i fear what if I get c1 varesa c1 xilonen or C2 gaming instead of c6 (chevreuse and iansan).

Currently on 50 pity should I continue to pull as I am only one step behind their best constellation or it's just not worth it.

I also intend on going for R1 zibai with C2 illuga.

Never wish for 4 stars.

Sure c6 of them is great but still not worth it to spend everything for a chance.

There is no guarantee for 4 stars. You could do 300 more pulls and just get gaming.

4 stars come with time.

Wishing for 4 stars isn't that bad if:

-At least 2 featured 4 stars aren't c6

-you dont mind losing or winning the 50/50.

This is how i c6 most of my 4 stars or getting the characters i want but aren't on my priority list or guarantee my next 5 star.

What people should absolutely do and I'm not sure they does is...

Keep their shards thingies for the 4* that appears in shop.

For genshin vets it's not really interesting because at some point the 4* that are there are often C6

But for new players or players with not much 4* it's very valuable.

Also yeah, most of my C6 4* I got them with time.

Do not pull on a banner for a 4 star unless you also want the 5 star. And by "want" I don't mean "wouldn't uninstall the game if I got it accidentally"

I want the 5 stars that's why I got both but I don't have enough pulls to guarantee C2 of varesa or xilonen as their c1 just increases their time in nightsoul blessing state without any buff or damage

Just stop pulling. There's still a non-zero chance of getting either Iansan or Chev on the standard banner, or getting 'spooked' by them on another banner. Won't it be much cooler if when that happens, you're happy you got the C6? Instead of seeing it and just seeing 5 starglitter instead, and thinking "Oh, I could've saved myself a bunch of pulls just by waiting until now"

Besides, if you're new, you're not gonna be 'ready' for endgame yet, regardless of if you have C6 supports or not, because you still need a good second team. Save your pulls for Zibai for that team, and DON'T go for weapons or cons until you're happy with your current teams, unless you're a die-hard Zibai simp, and even then, going for her C1/C2 and C6 Illuga would be better than R1. Or if you still have like 200 pulls saved up, maybe fish for Columbina, saving \~150 pulls to be able to guarantee Zibai afterwards of course.

I currently don't have 200 pulls but I will have 200 by the end of zibai banner. I want to go for zibai R1 cause i don't have a shielder to keep HoD passive active and as I am currently on sumeru archon I don't have natlan billets to craft flute of ezpitzal and have never got a dream solvent after doing dvalin, andrius, childe per week

Ultimately up to you, but again, don't feel like you need to go from zero to hero in 2 months. Endgame is supposed to take you time to get to, cuz it's endgame y'know? Rushing straight there is likely to burn you out of the game real fast. And you don't need to have the perfect BiS weapons on every character right away, you can use the free Prototype Rancour sword on Zibai in the meantime since it gives DEF stacks, for example. Especially outside of endgame, where even more so you don't need 'meta' teams to handle content.

If you're only going to have 200 pulls by the END of Zibai's banner, odds are high that you won't have enough pulls to guarantee R1 if you get unlucky on Zibai, and I absolutely wouldn't risk losing 80 pity worth so early into the game cuz you couldn't cash in your fate point.

He should stop pulling, but damn, this is like, the dumbest reason.

Yeah, sure, I might get spooked by this random 4 star next year, and will be able to think "cool, I got a C6 instead of 5 starglitter"... but I could also just celebrate the C6 now and, you know, *be able to use that C6 for an extra year*.

For all you know, by the time that C6 finally spooks him, he won't even be using his Varessa team anymore and the whole thing is a moot point.

He should stop pulling because he needs pulls for next patch. Not whatever that BS is.

I'm offering a consolation for what could happen AFTER he stops pulling, to make it more palatable. Besides, Varesa works just fine with C0 Iansan and Chevreuse, getting C6 is overkill for anything OP will be doing right now, and they still won't be able to do endgame without 2-3 teams, so getting them right now doesn't add value right away. By the time OP has 2-3 full teams and has them built well enough to seriously consider endgame, they'll also have pulled a few hundred more times, and maybe gotten lucky.

Nope. I wanted c6 iansan too.

I got varesa, varesa, mona, varesa after about 300 wished (technically a win as I love varesa) but I wanted c6 iansan mkre for my funny comp.

Was a huge bummer to have to wish so much for c6 iansan.

On the plus side the only other nod krai character I want is Nicole who seems to be not associated with lunar stuff which is good because i need a Pyro dps.

Welcome to RNG. Yes, this is normal. There's no pity, so while it's unlikely, you could just keep losing your 1/3 roll on the rate up 4\* over and over and over.

Also, Columbina is worth way more than Zibai's weapon, and you won't be able to guarantee C2 Illuga any more than you could guarantee your 4\*s here. It's entirely possible that you walk out of your Zibai pulls without a single copy of Illuga.

I did a lot of pulls on Xianyun's re-run banner (she ran at the same time as Varesa's debut banner) if I assumed I was starting from zero for all the 4* characters on that banner, it would have taken me:

207 wishes to get C6 Chevreuse

253 wishes to get C6 Iansan

and...

a whopping 439 wishes for C6 Gaming.

Before I got 7 copies of Gaming from the banner, I had pulled 6 5* units - 4 Xianyuns and 2 standard characters.

Luckily I was pulling on the banner for Xianyun constellations, not for any of the 4*.

I would say it depends on luck as i got c6 iansan in varesas first banner in 75 pulls but i still have sucrose c4 and i played this game since 2.1

I really wanted Chevreuse. I wound up with c5 Gaming, c5 Iansan, c1 Chevreuse, and I lost my 50/50 Xilonen. The game's doing this on purpose.

Wishing for 4 stars is bait. If you want them as a short term goal (a single banner) you need to be whaling pretty hard (or get lucky ig). If you’re not hard whaling 4 stars should always be a long term goal (get them over the course of many years or if there’s an event or something).
I went for c2 Mualani in august and didn’t get c6 bennet, ororon, or ifa. Not that I particularly wanted any of them c6 besides maybe Benny but you get the point.
