Recontextualizing Luna 1 doppelgängers
We now have confirmation that Dottore and Rerir were working together, regardless of whether it was true collaboration or manipulation. This makes me re-think the doppelgängers we encountered in Luna 1.
It never felt right to me that Rerir was the one we were really ineracting with. Something about the timing of our encounters and the quality of the acting just didn't feel like Rerir. I'm now wondering if we were meeting Dottore in disguise instead. We know that his segments can disguise themselves, like when he played the role of Escher.
Also the amount of information he had about those he was imitating was of a level I can only really see Dottore being able to and willing to put forth the effort to get.
Maybe I've overlooked something important, or I'm not giving Rerir enough credit... let me know what you think.

Your theory is very unlikely but I find this part funny because it is actually an honest diss on the writing
There is also one thing that goes against your theory. When we find Rerir attacking Flins, he says "You again!" If the doppelgangers weren't Rerir, when would he have met us?
So it might be either way...
Dottore coaching Rerir's lumine disguise
It’s more like he manipulated Rerir and used that whole plot to get an advantage and catch them by surprise
