Is Durin a child?
My understanding was that, even if Mini Durin was a child, human Durin was more mature ("Mini Durin was simply a child at heart, who wanted to make friends and explore the world." "After his transformation into humanoid form, Durin matures to the extent where he asserts 'I'm not as "mini" as I used to be,' after Albedo asks Paimon to drop the diminutive "Mini" on behalf of Durin. Albedo suggests that this prior name no longer reflects who Durin has become, and Durin elaborates on the importance of using names that show respect to one's status. How he wants others to see him is revealed in him insisting: "No matter how you look at it, this isn't a childlike form... Besides, I want to keep moving forward," focusing on growth and maturity instead of the past.") , so I thought that made him a teenager. He is also refered to as a "young man" by other people. My headcanon was that he was between 15 and 17. What do yall think?

Take him on his own terms. He doesn't fit neatly into any categories.
A: He'll always be the Medium Sized Body, since that's what Albedo is.
Or
B: As he gets better at controlling his power, he'll be able to change his own form, again, much like Albedo.
*I was born yesterday*
Jarvis, as in the AI, was with Iron Man since the first movie
But Vision the "entity" was only just created on the preparation to fight Ultron
This is pretty much the same
Durin the dragon was alive 500 years ago
But Durin the humanoid dragon was just created last windblume so he doesnt know much about anything. Hence why its considerable "young"
You could argue that gives him an extra year of existance at most, but even still thats young
No, he's a dragon.
\-In one of his voicelines about Alice, he states it with zero ambiguity: *“*I’m clearly an adult*”*
\-He even drinks alcohol in his teaser something you obviously wouldn’t give to a teenager in the first place
Hoyo isn’t being subtle or ambiguous about his age at all, and you’re still bending over backwards to ignore it just because it doesn’t fit your headcanon
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm "bending over backwards", I'm just trying to figure out where I stand on this because even though you say Hoyo isn't being ambiguous it feels like they are a little? In his voice line with Alice he doesn't say he's and adult he says he is "all grown up", which could either mean he is an adult or a teenager, yk because teens don't want to be seen as little kids? I guess Sucrose's letter and the alcohol are evidence he is more mature than I thought but when I saw the trailer I thought they had just made him taste some in a teasing way, kinda how grandpas or uncles give some wine to kids at events, because after Diluc gave him juice. Idk, I'm not trying to seem like I know everything I'm sorry if it comes out this way :(
At the end of the day, he’s a fictional character. If you're more comfortable seeing him as a teen, go for it no one’s gonna jump you for it \^\^
"Aunt Alice asked me to spend more time with Klee. She said she'd reward me by giving me anything I wanted. But only children want rewards, and I'm clearly all grown up... I like playing with Klee because I'm happy when we spend time together — it's as simple as that. When I told Aunt Alice that, though, she was overjoyed, and said she'd pick out a "giant toy" just for me..."
So yeah it's weird, could be that the teams doing the translations for the french and english versions took different interpretations of the original text, or that both thought the same but it's just the word that is vague in itself. I guess checking the original chinese version could give the final answer depending on the word choice but I don't speak mandarin so I can't really. Urgh it's annoying, I think I'll just drop the shipping part and just draw them as having and older and younger brother relationship because I don't want to ship someone I interpret as a teen/young man and someone that could be seen as either a child, teenager or adult, it's weird :/
I don’t know much about Freminet, but wasn’t it mentioned somewhere that he’s an adult?
He’s lived a long life, but in a place where his development was stilted. Now that he is in the human world he is very much a “fish out of water” since his life experiences are far behind his age and intelligence. It comes off as naive and childish but it’s significantly different than a character like Klee who ages slowly and is mentally a child.
Also OP: here’s the answer
Please keep the puriteen stuff out of here. Its fiction - his age is never stated. Have your headcanons but otherwise let it go and let others have their own.
