The dedication to make it playable on everything possible… What’s next NES ? GameCube ? Original GameBoy ? Jokes aside you did good ! I suppose some kind of streaming from a PC ?

Switch is modded to boot into Android running the Android version of Genshin.
A PS5 is streaming into a laptop via Chiaki and the laptop is streaming into the Wii U / 3DS via Sunshine Moonlight. Surprisingly there's no noticable input lag despite that lol.
I started this as a meme but the Wii U is surprisingly practical, I can look at the TV most of the time then look down at the gamepad to read text or use the stylus to navigate Hoyolab Interactive Map while the buttons are still controlling the game.
But the 3DS is not practical at all. There's also no input lag but there's not enough buttons lmao

I was about to ask how TF did a 3DS handle genshin.
I'm curious about the performance on switch though.
Azureddit08092026-01-10 17:20
Very bad. Long load times and tons of stuttering even on everything on low settings and 24fps.
Works great with PxPlay though.
Hojuma2026-01-10 17:30
That sounds just about right. I honestly don't know what I expected. 😂
I also somehow missed that you were streaming your PS5 to your laptop to your WiiU/3DS. My brain just simplified it to just streaming from your laptop the first time. Why though? Is it just smoother compared to running it on your laptop?
Azureddit08092026-01-10 17:48
I don't really game on my laptop everything I play, I play on consoles. But if I did have a gaming PC / laptop then streaming from there would work fine too.
frenzyguy2026-01-10 20:01
Why not use chiaki or stream from a PC?
Azureddit08092026-01-10 23:13
I don't play on PC and Chiaki on Horizon OS for some reason ends up having bad video quality after a while. PxPlay on Android gives me better PS5 streaming quality on the Switch.
frenzyguy2026-01-10 20:00
You can also easily just stream it.

They have doom playable on tiny keycaps with screens anything is possible
Confident-Low-26962026-01-10 15:25

Payascor2026-01-10 15:33
This, my lost friend, is a Nintendo 3DS XL :D
Confident-Low-26962026-01-10 15:37
oh wow, i had no idea what it was, i'll google it right now, it sounds like an apple product haha
EDIT : it looks like im so old i missed the 3DS release altogheter 😭

It was an amazing console at the time imo, and it had some amazing games. The whole 3D effect without glasses didn't resonate all that much with most people, but with the New3DS generation I really thought it was a nice feature. It's also pretty cool to this day because it's very easy to mod and install custom firmware on. :)
Phaaze132026-01-10 17:02
it was the first console i owned. as a teenager who didn't have much in the way of gaming setups at the time, being able to just sit on the couch, my bed or even the train when going on holidays was great.
Payascor2026-01-11 09:45
Hey, exactly the same here! I only had a laptop that could barely run Minecraft or Skyrim, so the 3DS was a pure godsent.
MegatronusPrimeZ2026-01-10 16:13
Looks like a 3DS
Least_Egg_93712026-01-11 06:36
It’s the 3ds. It was fucking big during the 2010s.
__breadstick__2026-01-10 15:40
Doing what should have been done five years ago 😔🙏
Then_Following_64252026-01-10 18:10
It would've run worse than it does on the PS4
__breadstick__2026-01-10 18:42
They could have just done a cloud version tbh. The game requires Internet anyway
Wouldn't have been the best but it would've done the job at least
ohaiibuzzle2026-01-10 16:59
I think someone tested running Genshin on Switch.
It barely manages 20fps due to the CPU being too underpowered for the game
So yeah, probably good move not releasing it and have players suffer.
