Guys one question!

Guys i saw this one video on youtube pulling for characters on banner and the person tried to avoid capturing radiance as much as he can is that a bad thing though!!!

I know how the capturing radiance works but i genuinely just dont know why they tried to avoid it

I always thought it will be good to get captuting radinace instead of losing 50 50

Whether winning 50 50 by radinace or by luck is it not the same since we can can build up capturing pity if we happen to lose in the future?

Guys am i missing something on my knowledge of capturing radiance(like why is the reason he tried to avoid it)

I'm mostly confused on how they think they can avoid it. It's just 50/50 luck, it's not like there is anything you can do directly to get or avoid CR.

I suppose it is overall better to just win 50/50's, rather than losing and getting CR eventually, but avoiding CR makes no real sense to me.

I guess they just want to save it for another character. That way they could get a guaranteed capturing radiance and a normal guarantee back to back.

That's just a guess. I don't think that's even preferable unless they're someone who "builds pity".

^(edit: it doesn't work like that. Capturing radiance isn't counted as a 50/50 loss, it's counted as a win and will reset your counter to 1.)

That still doesn't make sense though. You can't 'save' it like that. On the pulls where it is up to chance, winning the 50/50 resets your counter just the same as getting CR would.

They might have some personal superstitions (or wrong ideas on how it works), but it makes no difference for actual chances.

I honestly never looked it up and just thought of it as a safety net but apparently I got it wrong. You're right, you can't get a normal guarantee after getting a capturing radiance.

The guy OP was watching probably believed the debunked belief that a capturing radiance is counted as a 50/50 loss.

In a game where even the pulls are based on luck, i don't see how they want to avoid capture radiance.
The only reason i can think of is that they know they may trigger it but want to save it for a specific character but if so they should just stop wishing on banners they dont want or they actually want to lose their 50/50 (thats even weirder)

CR resets once you win a 50/50 so not sure how he plans to save it by winning a 50/50...

Hitting CR means you've ended up with some really shitty luck.

Ideally you'd never see it once throughout your entire time with the game.
