As an Archon collector, should I roll for Columbina? [discussion]

I've been thinking about that since 6.0, as the statues are not statues of the Seven Archons, but she has those and is considered something like an Archon in Nod Krai, I'm unsure if she fits that spot for my collection, what do you think?

If you like her pull her. But she was included in the anniversary art with the archons do with that information as you will.

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:16

I mean, that inclusion felt like a poor photoshop attempt lmao

chioriruinedme2026-01-10 20:26

Yes, it was a poor photoshop attempt but at the same time, she appeared in 5th anniversary song with Archons, so she is confirmed to be part of the cool kids club

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:40

Yea, you are right on this one, thanks!

Efficient-Scarcity-72026-01-10 20:00

id pull her since she's the "archon" of her "region". also it rounds out to 2 perfect teams with her on the roster after snezhnaya(?). i'm thinking mavuika/zhongli/tsaritsa/venti (swirl melt + zhongli debuff? and shield) and nahida/furina/raiden/columbina (hyperbloom).

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:17

Damn it you have a good point, 2 full teams of Archons, that sounds nice...

YannFrost2026-01-10 20:08

How about Furina. She isn't an Archon? The Hydro Archon is dead. If you have her because she count, then why make a fuss over Columbina. Why pull on a character base in their definition.

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:17

I mean, she was an Archon, and I liked her a lot, so it was a win-win situation, I also got Neuvillete in that case, same 2 reasons :)

YannFrost2026-01-10 20:27

Well technically, Furina was never the Archon. Focalor was. They two different people and Furina is pretending to be an Archon. But that shouldn't matter because you like the character. So dont think different about Bina. If you like her than pull.

the_new_standard2026-01-10 20:37

They way I remember it she was a piece of Focalor split off right? So not an Archon but something like the remnant of an Archon. Am I off base here?

YannFrost2026-01-10 20:38

Yup. Technically not an Archon, but still part of Focalor.

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:40

I mean, she was part of Focalors, so kinda of an Archon? But yea, I understand what you mean

Appropriate_Gate11292026-01-10 20:08

If you have furina, may as well roll for Bina

Charles1Morgan2026-01-10 20:12

For marketing and kit strenght purposes she's an archon...

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:19

Yea, that power creep is not funny... wish we had more options, but I agree..

TehEpicGuy1012026-01-10 20:34

If all you care about is the literal definition of "Archon," then no. But in pretty much every other sense of the term, yes.

She's been given the same exact treatment by the devs as the archons, in terms of story importance, marketing, kit design, and literally being included in a pic with all of the archons.

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:41

It kinda makes sense.. The devs consider her an Archon, but not in the literal definition.. thanks for this input, I think it was the best answer so far!

Shahadem2026-01-11 00:36

The devs do not consider her an archon.

dearmusic2026-01-10 20:36

Do you not roll on any character that's not an archon? Like, at all?

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:39

I do, but I also collect archons, even if I don't particularly like them, like Mavuika. But I'm not sure about Columbina status, as if she can be considered one or not :)

WhooooCares2026-01-10 20:40

She's the Moon Goddess not an Archon. She's the character Hoyoverse designated as the main push for the region so she gets Archon treatment. It's a single player game, you can do whatever you want.

KombuchaWay2026-01-10 20:42

Not exactly, as I'm a F2P, so I have to think about whom to roll for, but Archons are always on my list as to roll for :)

HallyMiao2026-01-10 20:41

Just change it to... pulling for everyone on the statue.

lostn2026-01-10 23:33

yes. She isn't officially an archon (neither is Furina) but counts. The statues have her on them.

Shahadem2026-01-11 00:35

Columbina is not an archon.
She is a former harbinger who still maintains her ties to the other Harbingers. She is therefore an enemy of the archons.

KombuchaWay2026-01-11 01:16

I like this answer, that is what I also had in mind before making this post lol
