Returning player. Kinda overwhelmed

I started playing back in 2021 and stopped in 2023. Kinda overwhelmed with all the stuff that i missed and need to finish. But made me burst to laughter 😂. He’s still there. 🤣 Poor bloke. Can get down because of the dog.

You should pull varesa, shes an awesome unit in everything: dps, exploration, f2p, anything

Why are you being downvoted

M_Polka2026-01-10 23:37

Idk 😢

Pulling a character does not really help with what OP is asking for, nor would they know wether or not they like her character, her story, etc., as well as her upgrade materials requiring to skip ahead in contrast to a „proper playthrough“ and getting back into the game.

If anything, it adds multiple new things to the list, being counter productive in its purpose.

Welcome back! You can do the archon quests and you will be caught up. Side quests extra zones etc can wait. Good news - you will have lots of pulls from quests and exploration

Have fun!! i came back a long time ago now but i still have loads i haven't done lol. take your time tbh, there's no need to rush it and focus on the content you enjoy. If you don't like story quests, don't do them, if you hate endgame don't do it etc. i would recommend doing the AQ though, they're really good and will help you explore most areas!

Zhongli big Rex Lapis Daddy of Tevyat has got a buff pre his Lantern rite which hes getting another buff on top.

His pillars go dummy with Columbina now.

It's been more than 5 years and that guy is still on that rock.

LaRepubliqueNousApel2026-01-11 00:21

Try the Archons Quest! Sumeru's and Fontaine's are insane! Nod Krai, a filler region before Snezhnaya is also really good too!

Supreme-Machine-V22026-01-11 06:29

I wouldn't call NK a filler region.

Sensitive-Lynx41042026-01-11 06:39

It kinda is but it's more of a stalling region if anything
Hoyo does need to expand on some of the things that have been in the game for a while now (three moons, etc.)

AntwysiaBlakys2026-01-13 16:30

Yeah like it has so much important lore, don't think it counts as filler

cyncitie172026-01-11 05:07

hi there! i was in a similar boat to u until just a month ago :) just take it at your own pace, but i recommend doing the archon quest(s) first because the recent region stories have been peak 😩 and new one is dropping in a few days!!

it doesnt take as long as u would think!

Supreme-Machine-V22026-01-11 06:29

I started in 5.0 I'd say take your time don't rush anything and start from monstad to liyue and move on from there from region to region taking your time exploring all.

NewZookeepergame42482026-01-11 07:51

Just do the archon quests slowly, I was in the same position as you but getting caught up on archon quests was not that hard.

On the topic of characters, if u want to pull any of the new characters next patch, they usually have an early access for their quest and time limited rewards which gives mats upto lvl 60, so def do those if u want to play with a new character that's decently leveled up!

And another nice QoL is that talent domains are open for one week every time a banner goes live, so if ur needing any talent books that's probably the best time to grind them! Enjoiii and don't stress yourself out! The game will be here forever, so there's no need to rush anything <33
