Building Flins on a broken account

So I looked up a Flins guide, mostly to see what artifacts are recommended on him (I've neglected my account for the past couple years so I have old Thundering Fury on him atm) and I saw this "Double Electro/Solo Electro" comment, and I was wondering a couple things.

Does this mean if he's the only Electro character on the team, and that's not recommended, and that he needs two Electro on top of a Nod-Krai character to be good?

And if so, who do you guys recommend to pair him with? I know Ineffa is agreed to be the best pair with him, but I do not have her. Or most of the characters since Sumeru.

Your best team would be Aino, Fischl, and Sucrose. Complete the Witch's Homework for Fischl and Sucrose if you haven't yet, and put TTDS on Sucrose.

Could I sub Sucrose for Venti? He's at C1 level 90, Sucrose is currently at 20 or 40 😂 although I've been wanting to level her cause I know she's popular in a lot of teams

I think you can do that for now. They added a new mechanic for some mondstadt characters where they will receive some buffs if at least 2 of them are in the team at the same time. Sucrose is better but venti will work for this slot as well for now.

Thank you. I did complete the homework, which made Venti a lot more fun. I'll use him while I build Sucrose on the side

Venti wouldn't provide the valuable EM and TTDS buff Sucrose would provide but at least he has good sucking for AoE content and can energy refund to Flins.

But, keep in mind that both versions don't have any form of sustain so this is not really feasible against longer, harder content. For that you would be better off using Kuki instead of Fischl.

Ineffa is going to be back on banner in a few days, so if you want to improve your Flins team you should try to pull her, unless you're just completely allergic to her as a character. She'll be the biggest damage increase for his team, and she also provides shields for comfort and sustain.

I stopped playing for a while and came back after she was released so unfortunately I missed her. I thought Columbina would be good for Flins so I've been pushing for her, but since Ineffa is coming back should I go for her instead?

Columbina is very good for him (and his best team includes both of them), but Ineffa still does more since she's designed to be a dedicated partner for Flins. Columbina also doesn't provide sustain like Ineffa does. And lastly, Columbina is going to rerun earlier than Ineffa, since it's her first banner and Ineffa's second.

If you really love Columbina, and you're the sort of player who likes getting characters they like above all else, you probably shouldn't pick Ineffa just for better Flins teams and end up regretting having to wait for a character you like more. But if you just want to make Flins's teams better, Ineffa is the better choice.

As a now FTP player, I'm definitely looking to increase the potential of characters I already have, so I'll definitely wait and get Ineffa. I don't have the luck of some people who get guaranteed 5 stars on 8 pity 😂

The duo/solo Electro difference is due to the Team Resonance. By having 2 Electro character in the team, you activate the High Voltage Resonance, which has this effect:

That's why you want 2 Electro characters, as it means you need less Energy Recharge

I had thought so, I didn't realize they had updated the Resonances for lunar teams so that's very helpful

Resonance has actually very little relevance here. You need a 2nd electro because characters get a greater amount of energy when the particles are of the same element as their vision. This is why most characters need another character of the same element in the team to act as a "battery"
