These are characters I have. Recently I haven’t really been focused on building a good team but now I want to. Which characters should I focus on for a good team?

Sucrose is mad cheap to build, she’s an amazing support if you don’t have Kazuha, second is furina, she’s a good healer and I want to say sub dps, but I might be wrong

Citlali, her shield will carry you far, and then use that power to focus on Furina. Otherwise, you will have a more difficult time grinding materials for Furina.

With Diluc leading your team, I’d personally build Citlali on Scroll and Sucrose on VV/holding TTDS. The fourth slot could be a flex. Xiangling is a good pick for full team DPS but she might steal Diluc’s melts. You could use Kaeya instead for more off field cryo app. And I always think it’s funny to use him with Diluc.
Furina is amazing and would be useful to have built in the future, but with your current lineup, a Diluc/Citlali/Sucrose team seems great.

You could run Main Dps Diluc, Mona w/ buff, Sucross /w buff, and Xingque.
Sucrose should have full em everything on VV set;
Mona should have Thrilling dragon tails and ER% sands, ATK% goblet, and any Crit circlet on Noblesse Oblige (Make sure to get more than 200% ER (300% ER is best);
Xingque should have Sac sword and Atk% sands, Atk% sands, and Crit circlet. on EoSF and must have at least 200% ER (250% preferred by me) if you can't get 200% ER then switch the Atk% sands for ER% sands.

You don't really have a decent healer to top Furina off, I would go for Citlali first to enable Diluc's melts. You don't really need to build her right away, just level her up to 60/70 and slap 4 pieces of cinder city on her.
What is more interesting to me is that you got these characters months ago and didn't even level them beyond 1

She only heals the on-fielder when she herself is off-field. Definitely a significant downgrade over just using Citlali or even Xingqiu instead of Furina + Barbara

since you have diluc and it looks like you main him, build citlali first then build furina
