asilvertintedrose2026-01-11 05:06
Fun fact: Signora & Pierro were the first Harbingers Arlecchino met.
Arlecchino used to invite Signora to visit the House of the Hearth (Before she got dusted), but she was so prideful the children disliked her. So Signora used gifts to bribe them, & in turn the children adapted & "acted nice" around her, honing their skills in manipulating people
But it turns out Signora liked their attention anyway.

Well *technically* they had, in a very cute way.
Because they figured out that whenever they compliment Signora, she will give them (more) gifts.
Then they start doing that everytime Signora visit them.
lithicgirl2026-01-11 06:11
Ohhhh my goddd I get it now. I am a Signora stan now thank you
1101101000111102026-01-11 06:11
Where did you get the part where she brought Signora for the kids to hone their skills? The voiceline just says that she brings Signora to visit a lot and after Signora didn't get a lot of warm attention because she was being prideful, she brought gifts the next time and used them to try and get the kids to be nice to her. Then the kids just learned to make Signora happy to get gifts.
Nine9breaker2026-01-11 10:42
I think you're misinterpretting that voice line.
Arlecchino didn't meet *any* of the harbingers (besides Mother, obviously) until after she was arrested and brought before the Tsaritsa.
She killed her predecessor and then was shown in a Sneznayan jail. Then she was depicted before the Pierro, Signora, *and* Scaramouche being anointed as harbinger. We don't really have any reason to believe she wasn't interviewed by other harbingers while she was in prison, etc.
Its only after that she would have been able to return to fontaine to rebuild the orphanage and remake the House of the Hearth, which probably took many years. She still looked like a teenager while she was being anointed.
Then *after* all that, Signora showed up to see the children.

The Fair Lady was felled in an honourable duel, and such are the risks of serving the Tsaritsa. Besides, what right have I to complain? Righteous Traveller. We will have our victory. Did you do the the narzissenkreuz quest? If you didn't, the Traveler won't show the sword for her since they wouldn't have anything to show her. But if you did, the dialogue line appears during the moon festival.
Tenessyziphe2026-01-11 11:58
I have done it yes. Ok so if it is during the moon festival that means I have not reached it yet >! I am at the point where we are about to enter the gate to the old civilization with an engine to send Colombina back to her moon !<
CoconutxKitten2026-01-11 05:20
I mean, Signora got Signora killed. I don’t think it’s fair to blame on traveler lol
Girl was fucking with the visions of an entire nation & introducing delusions. Traveler just got Ei to wake tf up
Sivilarr2026-01-11 05:41
Not really truth timeline-wise. It was Jester's plan. Vision Hunt Decree was already in power when she came to Inazuma. Delusion Factory also took time to build (not to mention making and spreading Delusion), so it probably wasn't her who build it, just oversaw production.
As for her death:
>(Traveler): I challenge you...
(Traveler): ...To a duel before the throne!
Signora: ...
Raiden Shogun: Proceed.
Signora: My, you're full of surprises today... So you've learned to make the law of the land work for you too, hmm?
In this part Signora is literally saying Traveler is using the law to force her to duel. Before challange she is saying Traveler shouldn't do anything stupid. After that she is saying:
>Signora: You are aware... that the loser must die? Are you sure this is what you want?
Since Shogun said "Proceed" duel technically started so it is very possible refusing = losing and losing = death.
I must one day look up dialog where Traveler learnt about duel law to make sure if there is even an option to refuse.
Anyway, I'm not saying she is innocent but people are blaming her for more than she really did (she is taking blame for whole Fatui).
CoconutxKitten2026-01-11 06:02
Because all of the Fatui work together & she’s shown across several nations that she’s willing to do vile shit. She co-signs the project
She gets pulled into a duel because she keeps doing violent, batshit things
The fact someone finally calls her out on it doesn’t mean her death isn’t her own doing
Sivilarr2026-01-11 06:22
Like I said, I'm not saying she is innocent. But it is fair to blame Traveler as much as her. You know, Traveler didn't need to challenge her to duel before the throne, knowing very well it will be fight to death. Traveler wanted her dead and went for it. Which is funny because Traveler is fine with others (like Childe who attempted genocide in Liyue, not to mention others). And here is list of her crimes:
**Confirmed crimes:** a few beaten people (Venti, Sara, guards), one stealing order, one gnosis taken by force, overseeing Delusion Factory, not being nice to Traveler.
**Unconfirmed crimes:** killing someone (Childe isn't good source of informations)
Liyue was Morax's plan and he himself said Liyue never was in any real danger (Childe didn't know that but Signora did), so Liyue doesn't count because it was just one huge performance.
Every other crime is just speculation.
Like, if Signora deserved to die for this, then Childe also should die for what he planned in Liyue. Only reason Traveler didn't kill Childe and others was them being nice to Traveler
Great-Background15872026-01-11 06:08
>ot really truth timeline-wise. It was Jester's plan. Vision Hunt Decree was already in power when she came to Inazuma. Delusion Factory also took time to build (not to mention making and spreading Delusion), so it probably wasn't her who build it, just oversaw production.
Look at it this way if CIA attempted coup at other country and get catch the Agent who carry the plan will be the one who hold reasonable and not the director (not like they Don't want get him but beside) .
beside the even the rank and files of fatui are ready to die for their job
Sivilarr2026-01-11 06:29
Yeah, but Traveler was fine with Childe attempting genocide in Liyue (which is worse than coup). Traveler's standards for 'who must die' aren't their crimes, but if they were nice to Traveler. Childe was nice so genocide was fine, Signora wasn't nice so she died.
sestioforst2026-01-11 10:18
Traveler's standard and morals are whatever the story needs.
Dense-Decision91502026-01-11 22:42
Tartaglia was just feeling a little silly
3stoner2026-01-11 06:39
I mean, Signora probably knows the laws of the land and was basically counting on the fact that Traveler wouldn't do anything before the Shogun but Traveler called her bluff and went all in. You can say that she wasn't in a position to back down but she f'ed around and found out
Sivilarr2026-01-11 06:55
Yes, I'm just pointing out that Traveler isn't innocent here. Traveler wanted her dead and went for it, while a few months later being fine with Childe who attempted genocide (I don't know, but in my book genocide is worse than anything Signora did). Traveler will forgive anything if criminal was nice enough. It is never matter of crime, it is matter of Traveler's feelings toward criminal. Most of other Harbingers has as much (if not more) dirty hands but Traveler is fine with them because they were nice.
Ikcatcher2026-01-11 05:22
Raiden Shogun killed her, not the Traveller
countrpt2026-01-11 05:26
Plus, Signora knew what she was getting into when she took the duel, she just never imagined it could turn out that way. Signora just expected the Traveler would be the one who died.
Sivilarr2026-01-11 05:48
Traveler forced her to duel. In dialong before fight she literally said Traveler is using the law to force her to duel. I must look up dialog where Traveler learnt about duel before the throne law to make sure if there is even an option to refuse. Anyway, since moment Shogun said "Proceed" duel technically started so it is very possible refusing = losing and losing = death.
countrpt2026-01-11 09:51
Well, she was more just surprised the Traveler figured out how to use the law to their advantage, but she definitely knew that death was the consequence. The way she asks the Traveler if they're sure implies that the potential to walk away was there.
> My, you're full of surprises today... So you've learned to make the law of the land work for you too, hmm?
> I'll admit that I never expected to be in a situation where the two of us were on equal footing.
> You are aware... that the loser must die? Are you sure this is what you want?
> Hehehe... then I will deign to share this last dance with you... till death do us part.
Then afterwards, she realizes she clearly underestimated them.
> So strong...
> But... But how...
Edit: Also just to add, Signora's line before the Traveler's declaration also sets the stage:
> I'm not sure you realize quite how much distance there is between us, both in status... and in strength.
I think, in context, even if there were a clear and obvious way out -- if Raiden had asked her if she wanted to accept first for some reason -- she likely would have chosen the duel. The thought of this "insignificant nuisance" defeating her was unfathomable.
Enough-Coast49092026-01-11 15:12
no lol
countrpt2026-01-11 21:39
? Signora literally says "I will *deign to* share this last dance with you" -- she thinks it's beneath her but agrees anyway because she thinks she's so strong the Traveler will simply die. That's why she's so panicky afterwards -- she had never considered the potential of losing for a second. The whole thing is the adage "pride cometh before a fall."
Sivilarr2026-01-11 05:41
>(Traveler): I challenge you...

Neospanner2026-01-15 14:06
I mean, Signora probably knows the laws inside and out - and as you noted, she asked the Traveler, "Are you sure this is what you want?" If the duel was already set in stone, there's no point in such a question. It doesn't matter if this is what the Traveler wants or not - either the Traveler reconsiders and then dies, or the Traveler duels her, loses, and then dies. So why the question?
It very much sounds as though she was giving the Traveler a chance to back out, and that probably means backing out was an option. And if it was an option for the Traveler, it was likely an option for her, as well.
The-World_AAABBC2026-01-11 05:29

For a second I thought Rosalyne was just gigantic. I think she's just standing, though.
Saltzier2026-01-11 05:46
Actually Signora's model (not just the boss encounter mob, but the regular NPC during quests) has like a x1.1 or something size modifier applied to her, so while she shares the same "Lady" rig/skeleton (like e.g. Arlecchino), she ends up at the same eye height as the standard adult "Male" rig (like Tartaglia).
Mana_Croissant2026-01-11 05:34
Ok, people can downvote me to hell for this but “No one invited you to my tea party” is not even tsundere, it is ACTUALLY rude.
Like imagine your friend attends your party and you basically tell them to get the hell out because they are not invited while the rest of the female harbingers are there. I know Columbina probably knew that Sandrone is not fully serious but that is something that could have just greatly saddened Columbina as the rest are invited meanwhile she is told that she is not welcome.
That might have even contributed to Columbina’s belief that her fatui comrades are not her true friends, again i know Columbina probably knows Sandrone enough to not take this seriously most of the time but still, that is pretty hurtful
Raimexodus2026-01-11 06:08
No, this is likely before their relationship was more amicable, maybe the first tea party Columbina 'barged' in on?
Progression wise, she'll probably still not invite Columbina (tsundere), but won't complain when she arrives, and will likely be disappointed if she doesn't
0scar-of-Astora2026-01-11 06:20
On one hand it does feel like she generally understands that Sandrone doesn't mean it. On the other, they make a point to show that she only learned in the recent patch that "bickering = strong relationship". So maybe.

She gets pulled into a duel because she keeps doing violent, batshit things
The fact someone finally calls her out on it doesn’t mean her death isn’t her own doing
Look at it this way if CIA attempted coup at other country and get catch the Agent who carry the plan will be the one who hold reasonable and not the director (not like they Don't want get him but beside) .
beside the even the rank and files of fatui are ready to die for their job

It very much sounds as though she was giving the Traveler a chance to back out, and that probably means backing out was an option. And if it was an option for the Traveler, it was likely an option for her, as well.
**– Sandrone, 2026**
She seems like the type of person who always buy a bunch of things and share it with others.
* Signora was alive before the Cataclysm
* Columbina was born either during or a bit after
* Sandrone was made decades after the Cataclysm
* Arlecchino was a teenager when she killed Crucabena making her at most a decade older that Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet
GRAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Like imagine your friend attends your party and you basically tell them to get the hell out because they are not invited while the rest of the female harbingers are there. I know Columbina probably knew that Sandrone is not fully serious but that is something that could have just greatly saddened Columbina as the rest are invited meanwhile she is told that she is not welcome.
That might have even contributed to Columbina’s belief that her fatui comrades are not her true friends, again i know Columbina probably knows Sandrone enough to not take this seriously most of the time but still, that is pretty hurtful
Progression wise, she'll probably still not invite Columbina (tsundere), but won't complain when she arrives, and will likely be disappointed if she doesn't
Please do not resist
I didn't appreciate you while you lived. The more I learn, the more I love you.
