What are slight, consistently shown differences between Aether and Lumine? (Also other lesser-known/unpopular ones + what do you think it implies about their personalities)
Often times, Lumine is characterized as the agressive, offensive, cold, and detached twin due to her slightly higher attack/damage and serious demeanor, this is often why she is said to fit better as the antagonist/abyss twin rather than traveller (also, in theories, she is often believed to be non-canon, or to have been killed, and replaced by a fake.
She is also often compared to light, or luminescent). Yet, her movements and attacks are often more technical, smooth, and fluid; like a ballerina dancer (which makes those characterizations kind of contradict).
Aether on the other hand, is portrayed as the more laid-back, defensive, goofy, warm, and sociable twin. This often qualifies him as protagonist/traveller (is also believed to be the canon, as well as being akin to a black hole), though his attacks are much more sharp, harsh, and dynamic compared to Lumine's. Aether is also portrayed as sometimes being more socially oblivious compared to Lumine at times.
What are your other head canons of the twin travellers?

As for the event's that happened when the other twin was sleeping I feel like they have only seen part of it but no the full picture and that is why they are against the Archons/Celestia
If you want to know what the twins are really like, I think the best reference we have are the flashback scenes in the animated short 'The Road not Taken'. In short, both of them were playful, whimsical and laid-back originally. The video even shows of the Abyss sibling (Lumine in this video but it would be the same for Aether) starts as innocent and curious, but gradually is consumed by the darkness due to the horrible things they experience.
I am so sick and tired of people always saying how Aether is a precious cinnamon roll and Lumine is a heartless bitch who is only fit for the role of the Abyss princess when the roles are 100% interchangeable. Hoyo chose one route for marketing consistency, but both timelines are valid and canon depending on which one you chose within your game.
I'm playing with Lumine and all of her in game interactions are soft and caring. She might feel detached at times, but never did she feel cold or aggressive. Maybe it depends on VA? In Japanese her voice is so soft it's hard to imagine her as anything evil or fake.
Google "Aether and Lumine posture difference" and you'll see several examples (can't post images on this sub). Lumine comes off as way more confident, while Aether honestly seems a little...uh, submissive, for lack of a better term.
Lumine players on the other hand have been forced to see each of them in different roles even if we (I am mostly talking about myself and anyone else who might agree with me) didn't want to. This helps give a bit of a better perspective on how each of them feel in their roles (though I will not pretend to know everything about how Abyss Lumine and Traveler Aether feel to see, just going by what I've seen).
I'm not going to elaborate much more here so that I don't ramble on with a really long comment, but I would argue that Aether is a much better Abyss Twin while Lumine is by far a much better Traveler.
