Daily Questions Megathread (January 11, 2026)
Ask about anything about the game that doesn't necessarily require a dedicated thread.
That is, if your question can be answered rather quickly/without significant difficulty (e.g. "Can my phone run this game?"), ask here. If you think your question can contribute to some constructive discussions (e.g. "What do you think of Amber's combat efficiency? Here's my opinion."), make a particular post with the "discussion" flair.

I’m 59 Pity in and Guaranteed, and i will roll for Columbina. I’m also a F2P and my rolls are about 140 in total. i don’t have any other nod krai characters. As my question, should i roll for Zibai or Columbinas 5* weapon?
I will be saving up for Lauma and Nefer’s rerun in the future, and i’m not familliar with Zibai and i still cant appreciate her character in general (no hate) but i’ve seen builds of columbinas team comp saying she’ll go well with zibai and other characters. It’s not that i wouldn’t want to roll for Zibai, it’s just i’ll be going for what’s best for columbinas team comp and many are saying that she’ll be good for columbina. What are your thoughts on this?
Note: the geo characters i also have are Itto, Gorou, Zhongli.
All inputs and kind words are appreciated. Thank you!
Nefer, Lauma. Columbina, Nahida is gonna make the best / one of the best meta team, but it is gonna cost four 5 stars. If you remove Nahida it is still very good, but still gonna cost more than Zibai-Columbina team. If you remove another 5 star from the Nefer team, it doesn't remain better metawise than the Zibai team.
So apart from who you like/enjoy and who you do not, there is also the matter of how much primo/wishes you can afford. As only you know truly what is gonna give you how much happiness, based on these factors / informations hope you are able to make the best decision for yourself.
That being said, you don't seem too sold on Zibai right now.
Personally, I'd say pull neither and just save, or see if you end up liking Zibai when her event quest comes later next patch.
As far as I'm aware, in terms of "best team comp" with Columbina, I think it's actually a Flins team. But Nefer, Zibai, and Flins [all using Columbina] are all super close and among the strongest units in the game on Columbina's release, so that doesn't matter much.
and for healing, obviously skill talent
if you can get that, or close to it, without the HP main stat on a circlet, you can try using a healing bonus circlet instead
4k is already very good

This is my account. I have most of my dps listed on akasha. I have most 4 star supports and I need help clearing Baptist. I used my skirk team to clear Experimental Field Generator. What is the best team I can make to clear Baptist?
5 star supports:
Xilonen, Lauma, Kokomi, Chiori, Citlali, Yelan
the f2p alternative is the natlan craftable sword
Is it better to stick with VV on him, or is his damage good enough, even without hexerei resonance, that it's worth switching him to the witch set?
but even IT, you could also save some hex teammate specifically to use with Venti if you really want to
so no reason to not get a hex set if youre farming it anyway
if you add teammates that do more damage than him, no
Where to find out more info how to play & best equips for Colombia?
not very big priority
but no reason to not do it eventually
What do you guys think of my f2p furina builds? on a scale of 1 to 10
no point saying f2p when it comes to builds
compare that. i cant score
first one might not have enough ER for some teams
I'm already guaranteed Ineffa (really like her story quest and her design) but I'm also hoping I can aim for Columbina
id prioritise reputation exp for a region you pick, cause you got more of that since a while back, so its relatively easier to get compasses
ive currently been investing to build a team with ayaka xilonen xiangling and bennett (pls tell me if there is a better team i could run at the moment).
ive got: oronon, xilonen, gaming, chevruse, lynette, gorou, layla, kuki, sayu, ayaka, yanfei, diona, sucrose, chongyun, noelle, bennett, ningguang, xiangling. ofc barbara and starter characters.
i've been planning to save for neuvilette but now im unsure since im a f2p and if its good for team variation. do I save and wait for a specific character, if so which or do I pull on one of the four characters coming in the next patch??
Columbina though, youd really like either Ineffa or Zibai, or rerun of the other NK characters so far.
Ayaka in Melt really isnt very good. she literally hits too fast to Melt. also both cryo resonance and her preferred Blizzard Strayer artifact set is ruined. you want to keep an eye out for Escoffier rerun
others rather just use Skirk instead, maybe add Ayaka just for the burst?
as is, youd just use Ayaka, two cryos, and that Xilonen for a simple mono cryo team
a Neuvillette with that same Xilonen and basically any off field, like that Layla for shield and Kuki or something would work better
a very recommended character expected in 6.4 would be Mavuika, but in her case that Xilonen is basically mandatory? not really but youd want teammates from the region
could try your luck on current banner Varesa instead?
there isnt anything specific you should aim for, youre just making choices
i already gave all the advice i could
i might just wait it out until last minute of second half to see 6.4 banners since columbina will def have rerun and i wont see why ineffa wont either. so maybe that might be the way to go - also THANKS SO MUCH!!
Or just skip the Nod-Krai people, pick any new DPS you want and their bundled supports, that's basically the norm now.
Neuv was good, nowadays pretty meh. Pull for pull any new character will give you better value.
What you have atm doesn't matter as much as what you can farm in next 20 days for starter (and then longer term like 2 patches). Like you don't need to settle your pulls day 1. See how much you got two weeks from now and then decide,
Basically,
1. If you got enough for 2 and wanna pull: get Ineffa + Columbina.
2. If you don't wanna pull too much/If you got enough for only 1 but will be able to farm for 2 more: Get Only Columbina, farm for Nefer and Lauma in future.
3. If you feel like you won't farm much in near future: Skip all, save until you have enough for a 2 character package.
lets destroy that piece of sh\*t

Bennett, Furina, Surcose\
Bennett, Furina, Kazuha\
Bennett, Furina, Yelan (or Xingqui)\
Bennett, Chevreouse, Yae (or fischl)\
Bennett, Rosaria, Surcose
DO NOT under any circumstance infuse pyro into sucroses burst otherwise it will completely prevent Rosaria from applying Cryo
You can use the burst after Rosaria but Rosaria already has enough application and using up too much time on Sucrose is just a damage loss since you can just spend that time on Gaming
Personally I think Ineffa is the best choice, she is a good team mate with Neuvillette.
Zibai will probably be among the top 3 dps when she releases (C6 4 star probably needed for her to be in the top 3 though but not needed in general).
there is separate reddit for leaks
chance of fontaine chronicled is nonexistant for now
could you direct me there 😅
My question is: which of the 6.3 banners would be my best course of action here?
I know much little about the characters but I know Lunar will stay here for a couple more months and I heard good things about Neuvillette. I have a couple 4* but I'm also slowly expanding the roster (so, again, preferably no electros or pyros)
I'm still learning, so any info or material about team comps and variety would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!
I legit just put her in team, any team, team goes brrrrr
You team would look like : Flins Ineffa Aino Sucrose
If no fav, just er. Nothing else matters
You could give them emblem of severed fate which would reward you for building er, + a balance of crit stats and some attack
Dendro Traveller's burst acts differently based on what element it intereacts with (kind of like Nahida's).
The bud it creates, if affected by hydro, increases its AOE. Electro makes the interval between attacks shorter. Pyro makes it explode (and no more application after)
[This site](https://seelie.me/anecdotes) has a complete list, you can compare it with the book in your gadgets and mark off the ones you've done to see if you have missed any.
My account: AR58. I was a Hutao & Hyperbloom Raiden main, and my Ayaka & Alhaitham is decent. I have Xilonen, Yelan, Kazuha, Zhongli, Kokomi, and more, to name a few
Questions:
- In the upcoming banners, who should I pull for?
- Which support character should I build first (except Xilonen, ik shes broken)
- I... still love Hutao a lot. Is she still capable in these versions? I feel so old asking this
If you have any tips, any recommendations, PLEASE feel free to tell me😭I need all the help I can get. Thanks for reading!
you can only quickstart most recent area. thats NK now.
you still keep whatever the previous progress was, and can return anytime
I got an Escoffier as a buffer as well for them but im not sure which cons would be best to pick for the long run (tho theyre more of additional dps options for me in abyss) TvT
Currently:
- Ayaka is C1R1
- Ganyu is C0R1
I’m building a lunar crystallise team for Zibai but I’m wondering would morningstar be better on Columbina or Illuga in this team? (Gorou is going to be 4 piece noblesse and Zibai 4 piece Night of Sky’s unveiling)
Currently I’m planing on Illuga using silken moons serenade and Columbina using the new set but should I swap them around?
I prefarmed columbina for a 4pc SMS in a nefer team but I forgot that my lauma is also on 4pc sms. So who should hold it? Rn my nefer team is SMS lauma, C2R1 instructor nilou and deepwood nahida.
Since I’ll be replacing nilou would it be better to keep Bina on sms and put Lauma onto 2pc2pc em?
for Columbina, you really want SMS mainly just for the ER. cause youd rather get more hp% substats than use substats for more ER
I have VERY good artifacts:
* My best 2pc+2pc gives 80+80+98 (Flower)+105 (off piece Feather)=363 EM in Bonus+Substats.
* My best 4pc GD gives 180+61 (Flower)+105 (off piece Feather)=346 EM in Bonus+Substats.
So by going 2pc+2pc, I gain 17EM. That will be much higher for most other players. And if I started min-maxing for Lauma's personal DPS as well, it'll be even bigger of a gap.
If I set a target of at least 40CR/80CD and 160 ER,
* 2pc+2pc gives 80+80+98+91=349 EM, 43.5CR/83.4CD and 178.3% ER
* 4pc GD gives 180+54+54=288 EM, 40CR/84.2 CD and 162.1% ER.
Now the gap is 61 EM. I only gave up 14 EM with my 2pc+2pc to gain a BUNCH of Crit and ER substats, but it cost me 58 EM on 4pc GD, making the tradeoff likely not worth. That's the power and flexibility of 2pc+2pc as now I can select my EM mainstats with best CR/CD/ER substats as well instead of being stuck with only what I have from GD.
If I can get a 80+ EM GD Flower that first case will change, but that just hasn't happened for me yet. And like you said, many will use Dendro as last flex slot which makes 4pc GD actively worse.
But all else isn't quite equal. 2p2p opens up a bigger pool of pieces than 4p gilded, so you're likely to be able to put together a set of individually better pieces. And 4p gilded is only a single roll of EM ahead of 2p2p.
What is better?
Bina with new set and ineffa on silken moon, or bina with silken moon and ineffa with the new set?
(My ineffa currently has gilded dreams set)
Bina needs the ER more. besides that, there is no difference who on the team holds SM set. but Columbina typically as solo hydro, would need more
As for Nicole, >!it's just that she's keeping herself from geeking out like crazy lmao They don't have the time for her to explain everything and she knows it.!<
But if you aren't struggling, then why use Fragile? Fragile will get better returns later at higher AR, esp AR45 when many players like to burn it all getting 5-star artifacts which is a massive power spike. But more often players want to use Fragile Resin prematurely because people feel like using Resin is more of "playing the game", which isn't true. Instead of wasting Resin and TIME farming resources you don't need, you should be doing quests and exploration and other less important progression that will be impactful (teapot, fishing, mining, etc). You are only AR39, you aren't at the point where there's nothing to do so burning Fragile Resin becomes appealing just as something to do.
But in any case, we aren't trying to figure out the best way for you to get artifacts, we are trying to figure out what you should do with your unwanted unlevelled 5-star artifacts before you run out of storage. And the answer to that is to strongbox them.
I have built my chars so I don’t really need to strongbox anymore. With 1-2 new char per version, i feel there is enough resin to just grind the domain. Maybe VV might be worth strongboxing but i dont see it anytime soon with no new VV user in sight.
[kqm](https://keqingmains.com/misc/artifacts/#Artifact_Strongboxes)
>Minor Affix Count 4: 34%
[wiki](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Loot_System/Artifact_Drop_Distribution#Artifact_Strongboxes)
So it's virtually impossible there's no set you wouldn't want more pieces of (esp sets with bad paired set in Domain like VV, Noblesse, Tenacity).
Having more chances at rolling a good 5-star artifact through Strongbox is exponentially more valuable than more Artifact XP, so 5-stars should never be destroyed for Mora or converted into XP bottles.
Gaming doesn't do damage to himself. He consumes his HP. Damage and HP consumption both reduce a character's HP, but things that care about damage happening (like the Serpent Spine passive) don't trigger off of HP consumption.
So if I pull for Xilonen, does the pity carries over next Limited Wish Banner?
If you want Xilonen, pulling is fine. Either you get Xilonen (good) or you keep pity (no harm done). But if you just want later characters anyway, there is zero reason to pull and risk losing your pulls to Xilonen, instead of just keeping the pulls for whatever character you want.
Your first banner 5\* is a good while away, your first 50/50 chance starts at around 12,000 primos, 80 wishes, the guaranteed one takes another 12k primos.
Kaeya is a good DPS, any DPS needs: weapon, character and talent levels.
There are 5 slots for artifacts, the only one that's important in early to mid game is the Feather artifact. equip any on your DPS and level it as high as possible. the other slots you can leave empty and put everything you find in the feather artifact. there's up to a 100% damage increase just for that.
1) What are all the things that I missed?
2) Can I actually get back into the meta - considering I used to 36\* abyss back then? ?
3) What is the daily routine right now?
4) Why is the game so heavy, is there any way to reduce the storage size?
5) Any tips on catching up?
2. sure, if you want or feel you have to.
3 same as always..
4 big game that's 5 years old, and no. mobile has that option.
5. catch up to what exactly? you should continue where you've left of, if you want to get to the latest archon quests quicker, meaning ignoring most quests, then the adventurers handbook > guide will.. guide you, the upper most quests are the important ones.
Sure
As of this moment the routine is spend resin, talk to Katherine, log off until the new patch in a few days. Completing the battle pass tasks are a pretty solid way of having a check list of things to do, but that will be next patch.
Not on pc, maybe one day they will consider removing content that you have already finished like they added on mobile.
Don't do too much. The game is intended to have enough content to keep you engaged every patch. You missed quite a few of those, so there is a ton of content to potentially do. You can burn out easily if you don't pace yourself and try to catch up immediately.
Dorman port, possibly 6.4?

And yeah I could just finally do ritou escape plan, esp as I can really use the wishes, but I wanted to finish as many world quests as possible because I think it's funny.
I had an account that I played with a few years ago, it was linked to Facebook, and I stopped playing for a few years. Since I had to change my email, when I came back, instead of restoring my old account, it created a new one.
Now I'm playing on a new one and I'm doing well, and I'm already level 15. The old account was level 45 and had Cyno and Jean. At the time, I ended up losing interest in playing because my account was in terrible shape, the characters were awful, the missions were so piled up that I didn't even know which one to start with, the world was poorly explored, etc. Anyway, should I continue as I am or should I try to recover it and improve the account?
I would slightly recommend the old account, but if you want to start over so you remember more of the story then that is an alternative option.
both would work with Citlali for example.

i started playing genshin in 2021, but stopped playing in 2023 and only just recently picked it back up, so a lot of the new content is confusing to me. bc of this, i have no nod-krai characters or any meta dps characters. i want to be able to trigger lunar reactions and have seen many great things abt columbina, which is why i'd pull for her. but then again, i want to have a dps that can keep up w/ current end game content, as i struggle to do so. i main hu tao currently and the 5-stars that i have built are furina, yelan, raiden, kazuha, ganyu, and xianyun, though i also have wanderer, childe, kokomi, ayaka, and yae miko (along w/ basically every standard 5-star). i'm guaranteed w/ 130 wishes and am at 19 pity. i don't want to waste my pulls or guaranteed on a character that wouldn't benefit my account.
so based on my account status, would columbina be useless to me? if so, what character(s) should i be saving for?
If you want to play lunar-reactions, Ineffa is recommended before getting Columbina, the latter will also rerun in a few month.
Columbina is mostly a support centered around Lunar reaction, so you'd need other NK chars to make her works, like :
• Lunar-Charged : Columbina / Ineffa / Flins / Sucrose
• Lunar-Bloom : Columbina / Lauma / Nefer / Nahida (Or second Hydro or Hydro/Dendro Healer)
• Lunar-Crystalize : Columbina / Illuga / Zibai / (Second Hydro for more application/L-Crys or a Geo who could benedit greatly from L-Crys like Zhongli/Navia)
Since your roster seems to be mostly Liyue/Inazuma chars, your best bet with current primos resources is to save for Snezhnaya meta or hope for a possible buff for Liyue/Inazuma chars like the recent Hexerei buffs for half of the Mondstadt cast.
Your primos won't survive going for Lunar right now.
Since you have Furina and Yelan you can also aim for Skirk/Escoffier for a very potent Hydro/Cryo team, these two should get a rerun soon.
Hope that help. o7
Also does anyone have a link to DPS team excel sheet or something that I could view?
And once Zibai comes out, Zibai, Illuga, Aino, Gorou would probably beat that.
She's not on 4pc Serenade because Bina will be
Thanks
If you stop now, the supposed building pity achieved nothing so even if the 4* on Columbina/Ineffa banner are not the one you like you will still get few of them while pulling for Columbina/Ineffa.
If you don't stop you might want to do another 4 pulls to build your pity to 40. There's no chance I will get another early 5*, right, right? Oh no it's gold again and I got another copy of Xilonen/Varesa.
So right now I have 50 pulls less, I have no guarantee as not only that I got two 5* quite early I've also won 50:50 two times in a row. What's worse I didn't get single Chevreuse const as there is no guarantee and it can take more wishes that reaching hard pity. Instead I got 5 copies of Gaming.
If you are ok with risking it, losing whatever pity you currently have + the wishes you do and getting Varesa/Xilonen in the process go for it. Just don't complain later.
Do y’all think it’s worth putting in the effort again to fully understand the game, or should I just stick to watching YouTube videos to experience the story from afar instead of playing it myself?
As a day 1 player, the game is better than it's ever been. I would recommend just taking your time and going through the story in order (Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, then Nod Krai).
There have been other event quests over time that have progressed character stories, but stopping when you did just means you missed one that's worth looking up on YouTube (Simulanka. Came out at the end of Sumeru). They have started making important event quests permanent in game recently, so most of what you need to get the story is available to you.
The quality of the Sumeru story is much higher than the Inazuma one. Fontaine is even better, and Natlan is when they started working on making the actual story experience better (less wordy quests. More immersive sections). Nod Krai they have doubled down on that even more. They have come a long way in quality over time (particularly after they started ditching PS4 support).
I would interact with whatever catches your interest. The only thing I would say that you can ignore if you don't care about multiplayer is the new Milliastra Wonderland content. It's independent of any other system in the game and has its own currency. You can ignore it and it won't impact your main gameplay at all. It's just a separate game mode for user created content. If you like that, go for it. Otherwise, you can pretend it doesn't exist.
Some quality of life things that have been added since you played is that you no longer need to actually do commissions to do your daily commissions. As you open chest and do quests you'll build up something called encounter points that you can spend by consuming resin to automatically complete commissions. I haven't done a daily commission since early Natlan.
I'd suggest just ignoring them.
Because celestia isn't a region? Ronovo showed herself in Natlan. Istaroth has been meddling in Teyvat since in Inazuma, during the Catacalysm. Rhinedottir has merged with Naberius, and both are a Sinner and Shade at the same time.
Who's to say that they won't make an appearance now?
You're angry for zero reason. They did not spoil anything. What Hoyo is doing now is laying the groundwork for a potential meeting with said shades. Also Celestia isn't only just shades and PO. There may be potentially other gods that reside there since Vennessa has ascended to Celestia.
They have “spoiled” Iansan from some of the first promotional videos for the game. They have “spoiled” the sky being fake in 1.0.
It can be a narrative device. You know the start and the end, but how did you get there?
You say apples to oranges to every comparison.
If Genshin had described what the end of the game was going to be, where it was going to happen, what it was going to be about, and who was going to be in the scene, would that have ruined the game for you?
You can't. It's pretty slow. Just take your time and enjoy the game instead.
Edit: thank you everyone for your kind replies! I’m gonna hope I have enough to pull for both ineffa and columbina in the next patch. :)
Yes
>Is there any benefit to getting columbina if i have no nodkrai character?
Yes, she unlocks all Lunar reactions which was previous locked only to certain characters.
This is really nothing special other than for dealing with certain boss gimmicks. Her value is pretty questionable without other NK 5\*s.
She loses most of her value if you don't have a single other Nod-Krai 5 star. If possible, getting Ineffa alongside her would be a wise move.
And in general, don't start with Columbina unless you already have other Nod Krai 5\*s.
It won’t let me post a pic of my units but maybe dm and i’ll send! i basically have no one lol but yea. I made this account when I was a kid so pretty much everyone is C0, no fancy constellations or anything.
A few things about me / what I’m looking for:
• I don’t really care about hardcore meta, but I don’t want to grief myself either
• I LOVE sword users
• I also really enjoy freeze comps
• I will forever regret not pulling Ayaka 😭
• Mostly looking for guidance on who I should build, what teams I can make, and who’s worth pulling for in the future
Right now I feel like I’m just randomly logging in, staring at my roster, and logging out again because I don’t know where to start.
Any advice at all would be appreciated: teams, characters to prioritize, banners to save for, or even “bro just build X and Y and you’ll be fine.” Thanks in advance 🙏
Edit: forgot to mention almost all the chars i have are lvl 90.
Lauma + Columbina produces a weaker team than that and runs Columbina as the on-field.
Nefer + Columbina is a strong team, but not as good as Nefer + Lauma, so it's mainly a stepping stone to Nefer + Lauma + Columbina.
Flins + Columbina is similar, a less good version of Flins + Ineffa that's a stepping stone to Flins + Ineffa + Columbina.
The main reason to want extra NK characters with Bina is that her Lunar reaction buffs are most relevant for characters whose kit already revolves around those reactions.
I haven't looked into that myself. Not enough into optimising to get more than 1 set for a character.
Some points I assume is that both are strong characters / good off-fielders. Ineffa and Columbina are both good Nodkrai and electro+water combination. But do they buff some characters or what makes them wheelchair
I appreciate any replies!
Columbina does a good bit of damage and provides some buffs along with hydro application (one of the most reactive elements in the game)
Together they do a good bit of damage, buff each other and the team, provide shielding (and healing if protoamber), give ascendant gleam which can be helpful for some bosses, etc.
Wheelchair was first used to describe Xilo/Chiori where they do off field damage/buff/shred/heal and it’s “enough” to be able to play two other units and still hit dps breakpoints. In this context, the wheelchair is a core that you can plop in and probably still clear. The game has changed since that time, so the term gets used to describe teams where the on field character is only a portion of the team dps instead of a majority. Like Flins being a large portion of the team dps still gets called a wheelchair as Ineffa also does a good bit of damage on his teams. Despite the synergy being obvious and it being a good team instead of a wheelchair (the supports working despite the on fielder). It can be used as a gag term, but loses meaning in context
Columbina buffs lunar damage by 47% directly, +33% buff to thundercloud and her personal dps off-field is comparable to Yelan burst (that was previous "wheelchair" - Xilo, Yelan, Furina). In many ways she is exactly like Furina, but buffs "lunar", instead of old Dmg%. She also enables Nod-Krai crit% set for on-fielder, like Furina enables MH for anyone. What makes them both "wheelchair" is total team dps numbers that should clear abyss dps checks, at least for any enemy not immune to LC.
But because of "lunar" she is not universal, and her buffs do very little if there is no Ineffa for off-field - she is only off-field dps with lunar existing currently.
Columbina, PA is better for buffing team and energy needs. sig is just personal damage
signature is less HP, a bit less energy gain compared to r5 PA, more crit damage
i think Jadefall Splendor, Baizhu sig is better, and if you get at least a c1 Columbina for a lunar crystalize team specifically(she create hydro shields then), then would be quite good
Edit: didn't see Mona, but her hydro application isn't comparable to Xingqiu or ascendant gleam Aino. TTDS is nice though I guess
but Columbina is the preferable onfielder in that case, i think
the only team i saw Lauma and Ineffa being used together
was Neuvillette team
The team will be something like:
Rosaria, Bennett (non-C6)/Iansan, Cryo Flex, Electro Flex
I currently torn at
1.pull columbina + Ineffa so the team is
\-columbina C2R1 + Ineffa C2R1 + Succose C6 + Raiden C6R5
\----------------------------------------------------------------------
2.pull columbina + Lauma so the team is
\-columbina C2R1 + Lauma C2R1 + Furina C6R1 + Nahida C6R1 ( I don't have Nilou)
\----------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone can suggest which is better for long term content for abyss & stygian & theater? thank you\~
