Oo I see that's definitely a good answer as after cons she is not really limited to using natlan teams! She is also a rainbow dps which is very unique and strong! I hope u are correct!
RegretfulChoice2026-01-11 11:59
Chasca isn't limited to Natlan teams, she wants PHEC chars in party. At C2 she needs only 2 different elements + has AoE.
AS-123-GO2026-01-11 12:06
I usually see her used with iansan mavuika and citlali so yeah ;-;
Affectionate-Swim-592026-01-11 11:20
Not futureproof at all
disabledarcana2026-01-11 11:26
Furina. I honestly think she will always benefit the teams she enables
Akikala2026-01-11 11:40
She is already close to being replaced lol. If it wasn't for Escoffier AND Skirk SPECIFICALLY being made to make Furina good, Furina would be in the "no meaningful meta relevancy" group lol.
She is good still but she ain't future proof any more than anyone else.
rekage992026-01-11 13:22
She’s not in current meta teams because lunar doesn’t work with dmg% buffs. That was a specific design choice.
Once we get “normal” scaling dps again who *do* like dmg% guess what? Furina is in demand.
Akikala2026-01-11 15:39
She was getting replaced BEFORE we got any lunar characters... Escoffier alone made Furina relevant again and without her she'd only be used in Neuvillette teams, who himself was being considered less and less meta relevant. In meta terms Furina has been getting less and less relevant for a while.
We have so many good and BETTER characters now that Furina is not in demand anymore. Only teams that use characters like Esco, who are directly made to make Furina as good as possible, really want her over other options. Even teams like double geo have so many very strong options that are as good or better than Furina now.
Of course Furina is still GOOD and a great flex slot for most teams but in the context of "future proof" as in valuable pull even in the future, nah, she is just like the other characters.
babangelsin2026-01-11 11:26
You don't need futureproofing with *pulls*, this is just FOMO brainrot
The assumption is that the endgame dps thresholds (ignoring SO Dire) will reach a point where older units won't have viable teams to overcome them, but in reality these encounters can have wildly different dps requirements based on what you are using.
An account that just pulled whatever 4-5 limited 5\* units while meeting those conditions:
1. Units don't have significant teammate overlap,
2. Units don't have significant elemental damage overlap,
3. Teammates are not a random assortment of units but either the best or close to best options for that specific unit
*Never* had any problems clearing endgame.
Only people who did have problems clearing endgame were ironically the "futureproofing" meta chasers who kept pulling for new units and ended up benching more than half of them and not committing to them properly.
AS-123-GO2026-01-11 11:56
Not really basing my pulls off this post but more as a guide like I pulled Lauma but not never and flins but no ineffa so like yeah i pull who I like but tbh idm the advice and would appreciate it
babangelsin2026-01-11 11:58
I'm telling you that the question you are asking is a bad question. It doesn't matter if you 50% rely on the answers or 25%, they are by default bad answers.

super long term:
Citlali - as long as melt teams work, she will be a goated support, can hold ttds
Fischl - her c6/a1 passives are broken, shes an overall great 4th slot
decently long term:
Ineffa (great damage, a shielder, can even proc hyperbloom),
Lauma (c1 makes her a healer, we wont get a better dendro support for a while, can hold TTDS)
Durin (decent sub dps, replaces Xianling)
i dont consider ANY main dps to be future proof no matter how mavuika they are
PrinceVincOnYT2026-01-11 11:30
nearly every sub and support DPS.
They work without a dedicated DPS very well and in a lot of teams, while the DPS, especially recent ones, don't work well without them.
Skirk? borderline doesn't work without Escoffier in endgame. But escoffier elevates every Hydro/Cryo Unit.
Nefer? Same story. Lauma awesome Bloom addition, not requiring Nefer to be good.
Flins? Ineffa dependant, but Ineffa (despite being "much" older) works great in Taser teams on her own.
I personally shifted my pulling towards that archetype, the ones that work their magic off field while watching numbers pop and enemies die.

Why am I getting downvoted so much ;-;
WhooooCares2026-01-11 15:56
Because the question lacks thought. It shows a lack of understanding of how the game works. This is a gacha game selling characters, no one is future proof.
AS-123-GO2026-01-11 16:39
Yeah I'm very very new I started on varesa release so I don't have alot of old characters my oldest char (5*) is raiden
