To be fair if you're still playing barbs it's for the memes, like her DPS and plunge teams have always been worse, but it's fun to play. She's also pretty useful in coop so there's that. Oh and she's free so can't go wrong with that lmao.

Also imo her design is still one of the best even after all these years, I just miss her "go! Barbara go!" Voice line.

My healer for Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma quests. The first Genshin character I saw, and I believed she was the co-protagonist. My official chef. Levelled to 90 and 2 Crowned for my old dps build. She will remain in my heart. But for now, until C1 Lauma, she is my Superbloom dps

I can't talk shit about her. She carried the first arcanum stage this cycle. I felt bad and fucked up when i used her as a fodder on other acts in my first run. When i restarted to send her to the first arcanum, she was there with "what the hell is crit?" raiden and "i see recharge and hp mainstat, i give" thoma, fighting to give me my 100 primos. Hutao was there for moral support. Average imaginarium theater teamcomp ig.

Real mains just look at every premium Catalyst as a possible chance that she gets a new BiS weapon.

Hoping she gets hex buffs. Some of her cons are laughably bad. 

I still use her honestly, I never pulled kokomi so she has been like the staple hydro healer for the team.

Its sad shes been actively nerfed multiple times shes was super Nilou and Kokomi for a time but the devs had to hot fix it even after the 5 star release lmao

Barbara just needs finally Buffs, that is all... Buffs that turn her finally into something more than just a cheap Healing Bot, that literally exists for nothing else, than Healing and doing every 15 Minutes a cheap revival, if you C6ed her first.. a mechanism that sould never be put behind a paywall like C6 and which shouldnt have such a ridiculous long CD to begin with, which Columbina also now powercreeps at least regionally, because her Burst can just ressurrect fallen Party Members without CD, without needing Constellations, as long you are in Nod Krai.

With this design decision you can at least see, that MHY is working on slowly breaking up certain silly limitations from the past, in order to give always their newest character something, that makes them technically better, than somethign we have had already in the past. But these decisions make it also more and more important, that the old and totally outdated Characters get buffed, in order to not completely fall behind and way too many characters are already totalyl falling behind, that no ass is effectively playign them anymore for several years, because these weak characters have absolutel no play anymore in any teams, because they are so weak and oputdated, that using them means a complete Team DPS reduction to the point, that you becoem too weak for the endgame content, if you want to beat it on the higher difficulty settings, which require all optimally build meta characters to be used in your team.

Some Characters woudl get a spot in a team again, if MHY for example would start rebalancing upcoming content aroudn a now 5 Character Team Size.. but its definetely quicker and easier for MHY just to put their focus and ressources step by step onto the outdated characters and just give them Buffs.

Still under review process, but no clue, but Ive just the feeling the mods in this sub simply don't review anything as long the poster hasn't enough karma or so.. can try whatever I want, never gets anything through to them.

Giving her Buffs in a similar manner, how they did it for the Hexenzirkel Characters, woudl definetely help her to become more meaningful as a character, because at the current point, there is no point in ever using her, if you have a Kokomi, or Furina, or any other 4S Healer even, which can heal, AND deal at the same time more damage, than her.. so the only way how Barbara would stand out as a Healer on her own, is by getting a much better Support, which supports the team in ways, that nobody else so far does. Max HP Buffing is something like this for example, that would perfectly fit to her role.

She's doing great in my Flins team though. And she can use Gilettes weapon just fine, and now she is going to steal Binas!

But fr, the only direct powercreep barbara gets in her department are kokomi and charlotte. If you consider just hydro catalyst being enough to call it powercreep, then you should agree that sethos is powercreeping fischl, sigewinne powercreeps childe, and mizuki powercreeps sucrose

Barbara not powercreeped by Columbina, Barbara is eternal. She heals for eternity. Barabra is the true heir of Teyvat.

I dunno, I kinda feel like Barbara will always be viable and played in hydro Imaginarium Theathers. I don't see how an effective healer becomes that powercrept in that mode.

I think everyone gets a catalyst now bc its the only weapon they can make a different weapon without actually making a new weapon class

I'm curious, as a newer player who now has Barbara to C5, eagerly awaiting C6 - is she viable in an Overload team, or does that fact that she makes the team wet result in too much self shocking?

I'm picturing a team of Columbina, Ineffa, Barbara, Flins - mostly because I hate playing without a healer.

As a Barbara main who is also a big Columbina fan, I feel like that one meme with the 2 cakes. I'm both pulling for Columbina and her weapon on her release day, and I'm gonna level 100 my Barbara a week after from the 5 star constellation selector

Honestly, Barbara is the character that Hoyoverse has tried the most to nerf. There have been several "glitches" with Barbara that were fixed, and yet, her self-freeze has not been addressed. And hydro catalyst is such a common archetype in the game, is not even funny, with Kokomi and Furina being a direct powercreep of Barbara.

Funnily enough? They might keep failing in powercreeping her. She is just too comfy to use in the overworld. Only Furina is more comfy (her heals have downtime and she can walk on water), but is also a bit harder to use effectively in combat in the overworld.

She needs buffed asap😭

My brother in Christ, it was over for Barbara before it even began

She was my number one healer for a long time, getting some rest with Yaoyao’s release (Alhaitham quicken team) and was dethroned after Baizhu’s release.

That said I still use her consistently for teams that prefer her Hydro to Dr. B’s Dendro; atm she’s in my Flins team.

Barbara is a healbot that occasionally steps on top of something and can apply hydro but doesn't get any other benefit from being up close. She also aggressively self applies hydro which is particularly bad around electro and cryo as it CC's you.

There's nothing really wrong with liking Barbara, but if hoyo ever made something that DIDn't power creep Barbara it would be the worst character ever released.
