Should I come back to Genshin?

Well I probably will, but I was wondering if there was something any of you could tell me that I can look forward to! Both in gameplay and story

I dropped the game when I pointed my focus to other gachas and games and that was a whiiiile ago… The combat was good for me until I played other games and just wasn’t too engaged in it anymore. No hate though, it was just a bit barebones for me after the other games I played

I’m at Natlan, I like it but not enough for me to be so interested that I just HAD to keep playing. But I did hear that Nod Krai is incredible and I’m excited knowing the heights the game had for me, like with fontaine

Lastly is the game affected by power creep a lot? I’m hoping I can stick to playing my Diluc and Thoma, Nahida team.

Columbina. She's finally gonna be released after years of waiting. Ever since she appeared in the fatui trailer, I've been saving for her (ironically i actually only started saving around 6.0)

In my opinion, the game has kept improving ever since the start of Sumeru. Gradually, step by step.

If you didn't like the game when you quit, you most likely won't enjoy it now either.

Awh well I hope I will. Genshin meant a lot to me back then and I hope to reconnect with it. Though it’s unfortunate I missed like… probably two lantern rites at this point 😞

Understandable. Sometimes we just need a break as well. I started Genshin during its first month, but had a year-ish break before Inazuma until right before Sumeru. For me, I just couldn't get over the gacha aspect of the game until I came back. I realized that the game wouldn't have all this amazing content I just came back to if it weren't a gacha game.

So, I hope you will too. Best is to just hop right in and see if it connects with you again. Just in time for Lantern Rights :) Last one was my favorite!

Well it’s up to you. Nod Krai is good and the exploration is made way easier with the access of the treasure compass almost immediately.
But it doesn’t change the basis of game : story is heavy in the game play, as well as exploration and so on.

As for power creep you need sometimes specific characters for bosses. You need night soul on some bosses for example. Few older characters received a nice buff : klee, venti and Albedo. To name a few.

Nahida is useable but Lauma does her job and she does it better. Diluc has always been meh, but he has his niche teams if you really like him.

You can use whatever in the overworld and it will work. Harder to say this for the other end game mode. Abyss needs you to build two full teams, IT at least 22 characters and Stygian three teams. That’s the very end game content and tbh there’s no need to overwhelm yourself if you just play the game again. Just enjoy the journey.

In my opinion, Sumeru was amazing, Fontaine was great, Natlan was kind of a low point, but Nod Krai... Oh Nod Krai... It's so good...

I don't want you to miss out, but if someone come to me and said "should I continue watching one piece?" I don't really know what to say... Cause I know this story is nowhere close to ending yet, but just coming back for 1 season is kind of...

I think Natlan was the height of Genshin’s exploration in terms of fun. Especially if you have Natlan characters. Even though the saurians are still nice, The constant being able to freely switch around and fly through the air as high as I want is just so insanely. It genuinely made me feel like Natlan is so small since I was able to get everywhere so quickly.

Nod Krai on the other hand was the opposite. Peaked in terms of story. It’s like the Avengers of Genshin where many storylines kinda comes together.

But one thing that I had to ask, did you managed to do the Simulanka event back in 4.8’s summer event?

Damn… I would say that you might want to at least look the rest of the story up a little bit in youtube or something. This event was one of my biggest confusion with Genshin because the later quests has ties to it even though it was a limited time event from 2 years ago. But, they are making the new event quests from now on permanent so maybe they might go back and do the same thing for the older ones…?
