Varesa or Columbina

I'm torn between these two. I adore design of varesa and her gameplay but I feel that I will regret not pulling for Columbina since she will be new longterm meta.

Usually the shill at C0 is only needed to clear Dire

Ofc she is not required, moreover if OP wanted to pull for meta then I'd recommend them to pull Ineffa over Columbina. But since they are already satisfied with their Flins output, they should get the characters that will allow them to have the most fun, and in their case that's Varesa.

If I were you, I think I would have went for Ineffa, but since you are asking about Varesa/Columbina. There are few things worth considering:

From a meta standpoint, you already have an electro DPS.

Columbina will likely rerun sooner. If you want to get both eventually, I would pick Varesa first, since her next rerun won't be back for a while.

Getting Varesa now, still means you have a chance of getting Columbina next patch. If you buy welkin, I think you might be able to reach pity before her banner ends (I am not 100% sure tho), so you have 50/50 chance of getting Columbina.

However, if you still want both equally, maybe you can let banner 4-stars or something else decide.

I chose to pull Varesa. I only have Lauma and Nefer for Nod Krai units and am unsure if I’m getting anymore. Varesa led to a new fun team to play with. Columbina would just upgrade my already cracked Lauma/Nefer.

Plus if I cared about the meta, it would be better to get Ineffa instead of Columbina since she is way more flexible and a bigger damage upgrade for most teams. Even if I somehow have enough left over to get two characters next patch I’d bet it’s still better to cop Zibai instead of Columbina so I can deal with Geo shill bosses.

Ineffa>columbina>>>varesa easily for your account.

If i were in the same situation i'd easily get ineffa then columbina myself since i don't like varesa anyway, and she would do worse than flins while being the same element.

Ofc favorites>meta, but if you like varesa that much you'd just pull her instead of making this thread.

Do you have Mavuika, Iansan, Chevreuse, Furina and Xianyun? If you answer "no" to more than half of those you don't have more than half of Varesa's best teammates. If you're pulling for meta make sure you have enough of Varesa's teammates to justify pulling her.

I got Varesa on her first banner and she's been a lot of fun.

But to your point yeah, it looks like Columbina's gonna be critical for the meta for a good while. She's also the Archon equivalent for Nod-Krai and Archon's just last longer. Furthermore, Ineffa's rerun starts with Columbina so you can just pull her after you get Columbina if you want to.

I encourage people to pull waifu over meta. But if the meta *is* your waifu, you know what you gotta do.

Pull all three.

U already have electro dps. No point in getting another,which is a downgrade.

Columbina will be a decent upgrade to your flinns team.

Meta perspective ofc,pull whoever you like if you don't care about endgame content.
