Friendly reminder to mute all Genshin social media before the preload if you want to avoid spoilers

We will get the preload tomorrow and with it the entirety of the highly anticipated Luna IV archon quests.

Judging by previous occurrences you will absolutely get spoiled if you don't take some steps right now.

Mute all characters mains subs, especially characters that are involved in the upcoming AQ, like Columbina, Dottore, Sandrone and all Traveller mains subs; both Aether and Lumine.

Also make sure to mute the agenda subs like FatuiHQ and Theprimordialone.

And that's just on Reddit.

AVOID TIK TOK AND TWITTER AT ALL COSTS.

YouTube is very dangerous as well.

All in all just Have fun with your lives for the next 72 hours by not including any Genshin rekated Social media in it .

There's a certain recent story leak that people are just spamming all across the main sub as a "theory" that everyone just magically came up with right after the leak dropped. Can't even call it out cause then you're confirming it's a leak and not a theory, but it's upsetting to see how many people are acting smart about it. I'm sure a non-zero number of people who otherwise avoid leaks have probably realized it's a leak and not just a common fan theory. Very similar to the Neuvilette leaks back during Fontaine.

The leaks sub is much better in that aspect, people don't really post thinly-veiled leaks as "theories" there because most people there are already familiar with leaks.

Of course there's probably a minor number of people who would guess what'll happen - that's inevitable in a game with this many players. But a lot of people posting it on the sub are genuinely people just reading leaks and posting them as theories. You never see this many people post the exact same theory unless it's a major story leak like Neuvilette being the Hydro Dragon, in other cases the theories being posted in the subreddit are much more fragmented and less repetitive.

On one thread with a lot of folks commenting the "theory", I clicked on three of the top comments who alluded to the leak as a theory. All three were active on the leaks subreddit, with two of them even commenting on the leak post they were "theorizing" about.

Ironically I'd say the leaks sub is the safer place, story stuff is properly marked and titles have to be spoiler free beyond the playable character names. The story leaks you'd get browsing the leaks sub normally are things like a new weekly boss existing but not who said boss is.

The issue with it was it used the name Tsaritsa (ツァリツァ) written in katakana. The name Tsaritsa hasn't ever been used in the Japanese version, with her title instead being 氷の女皇 (koori no jokou, lit. Empress of Ice).

So it seems to simply be a mistake on Sony's part, maybe in English first and then translated automatically (AI maybe) into other languages. From what others have said the same error exists in multiple other language versions of the listing where she isn't called the Tsaritsa too (like in French where her title is La Tsarine).

Youtube isnt safe either if your algorithm has Genshin content all over. People over there post leak stuff thinking it’s common knowledge, along with clickbait posts. And then when the update comes some just upload all cutscenes or thumbnails with important characters showing up or something, and again with clickbait titles like they speedran the entire thing.

I was a new player still in Inazuma when the final act of the Fontaine Archon Quest dropped and this sub ruined a big reveal about Furina. I also just got big Honkai Star Rails spoilers that worsened my experience in that game as well. I wish people would use the spoiler tag.
