Columbina for lacking players

Is it prudent for me to pull for Columbina when I only have characters from before sumeru? I recently started playing again after three or four years and don’t have Ineffa nor Lauma. I do have guaranteed Columbina in like 20 pulls so I’ll be able to pull for others yet I’m not sure who. People say to not miss Columbina and pull for her since shes rather important and what-not (I’m still in fontaine, I know NOTHING of her nor whatever lunar reactions are) yet I’m not so sure what to do lol. Help is needed once again.

Not really. You need Ineffa or Lauma (or Zibai when she’s out) to make good use of Columbina. She’s not dead weight, but she’s not particularly effective on her own, either.

I mean, I could try and get Ineffa, but yeah… I dont know. I wanted to get Xilonen but I’m far too late and it doesnt seem like I’m getting her any time soon.

I think enabling all lunar reactions by herself makes her pretty hard to pass up, even if you don't have the optimal go-withs for her.

Optimization is only needed for "endgame" stuff (Abyss, Imaginarium, Stygian) so it kinda depends how much you care about those.

even for endgame it barely matters unless we are talking SO fearless+, Bina doesn't have AG stuff in her base kit only on C1 and C2 so she clearly wasn't designed only around NK characters.

I saw one of the early access creators do an abyss 12 clear on the charge attack buff side with C0R0 Bina + Fischl + Sucrose + Jahoda, and the team cleared all 3 floors in 1 min each.

Another key thing is the AG lunar buff we get from non NK characters in an AG team most characters cant even give a decent buff due to the stats required.

like take Geo characters you need like 3K+ DEF to give 36% lunar buff and the AG buff just takes the character that used skill/burst most recently stats into account.
So if you want to run Lunar Navia, she has low DEF and her skill will always be the most recently used so basically you will get next to no lunar damage bonus from the AG buff.
Making it silly half the time to force a second NK member into the Bina teams to get the AG buff when most characters cant reach the required EM, HP, DEF or ATK to actually get close to 30-36% lunar bonus.

she really wants other nod krai character, thats what she is made for. if you want her then best to get ineffa first then get columbina to make the wheelchair or look into zibai then you can get columbina first then illuga

ineffa is very strong idk what youve got but she has lots of damage and sustain, the ineffa/columbina wheelchair is basically a 100k team generater throw in any old dps and sucrose

my main team rn is Eula, Kazuha, Bennett + any random character (currently Hu Tao idk why). Eula and Kazuha are my strongest characters so they never leave lol.

sounds like you would like the columbina/ineffa wheelchair since you can just throw random things into it and do good numbers

If you don't have any of the Nod-Krai/Lunar 5 stars she's simply put just not worth it. Not a bad investment if you plan to get any of them especially since she's guaranteed in 20. But if you're not planning on Ineffa or Zibai then she's gonna be collecting dust for a couple patches until you get who you want.

Funnily Columbina is the NK Char who cares the least about her Moon Sign.
She's completely unaffected by it unless you get Cons.

So while obviously not meta you can easily play her with lot's of different Chars and it will be an upgrade and allow to profit from events/passive that require you to do Lunar stuff.

You can even try to fit in more than 1 of Lunar reactions.
Like LunarCharge with a Dendro Char and have Columbina on field.

Or a idk.. Kokomi Fischl Albedo for Charge and Crystalize.

Anyway - You need to start somewhere.
Characters come in combos recently so no char will be perfect high value from the start.

Just grab her if you like her and see what comes next.

We need a big sign that says for endgame. People keep asking about pulling while not really doing the abyss. If you like her get her. She’ll still allows lunar reactions and help take down affiliated enemies and bosses betterish
