Leveling Chevreuse and reaching AR 49! Geshin Impact Day 58, 59, 60, 61
Hello! It’s been a few days. It’s not that I don’t play much or that I don’t have anything to report, I guess I just forget to post or when I remember I think “ah I’ll do it later” and then later never comes.
The past few days I’ve mostly been working on Chevreuse, but I also explored more of Fontaine. I think it was Thursday or Friday when I was really busy and could only play for like 10 minutes so I wanted to quickly spend my Resin and just fought the Pyro flower for Xiangling, I want to ascend her to level 80 someday anyway. And speaking of Xiangling, I got her a Constellation from the Starglitter shop! I use her in basically every team, so it’s worth it, right?
I did some more fighting of the seahorse for Chevreuse, this thing kinda sucks but isn’t as bad as other enemies I’ve seen so far in Fontaine and Natlan. I could ascend Chevreuse, but only had enough books to get her to level 53. And after some more mining I could craft the Rightful Reward for her! I looked back at some comments and someone said I could also give her a 3 star HP weapon but I was kinda already set on getting this one for her, and 4 star would be better than a 3 star anyway, right? Well, I had to do a bunch more of the Fontaine weapon domain, which I don’t like but has definitely gotten easier now that Varesa’s getting stronger!
And about Varesa, I complained sometimes before that her Bond Of Life was really bothering me. That was definitely true and made me not want to use her as much, but I started to pay more attention on how to actually fix it and I think it’s okay now. I said that even Jean’s Burst wouldn’t get rid of the Bond, and while a lot of times that is the case, if I stand with Varesa in Jean’s healing ring then it usually goes away with another few heals. I think in conclusion I just had to pay better attention to it to make sure that I always clear it in time. I think the issue was that I let too many Bonds stack up before healing, so now I try to have Jean’s Burst ready everytime I want to go in with Varesa. Also maybe not using too many Varesa skills in a row, she can do like 6 in a row but maybe I shouldn’t do that so much. Anyway yeah, it’s okay now, still kinda annoying but I can get used to it.
Then back to today, I really wanted to pick up the pace with leveling Chevreuse so I could use her, Varesa needs to get even stronger!! But I remembered that I hadn’t done my Weekly Bosses all week so had to hurry with that first. I can kill Stormterror in just two of his phases now before he gets his shield up. The Wolf is still annoying but fine. After that I had to fight some of those purple round guys in Fontaine for their materials. While they definitely are annoying to fight (ESPECIALLY in that god forsaken talent domain), they also drop a lot of materials so I can’t complain. Then I could ascend Chevreuse’s weapon! Right now it’s at level 60 I think, I know I leveled it some more but didn’t take a photo.
I did the Fontaine talent domain a bunch because I wanted to get Chevreuse’s talents to level 4, at least the important ones. What a stupid domain… Those two purple guys keep killing me, seriously not a single run goes by where they don’t kill at least one of my characters. I guess you could say they were the ones behind the slaughter. One run they killed everyone but Fischl and I was STRESSING not to let her die too, that took like 5 minutes. I should’ve asked for help but I was stubborn lol, I’ll do that next time. But I did get Chevreuse talents to level 4 in the end!
I had to fight more of those Fontaine robots for Chevreuse’s talents and ascension, so that was also a bit of exploring. What does the thing in slide 15 do? I know there are the other ones where you have to hit it with either the yellow or purple stuff but this one doesn’t seem to do anything? Just there for the aesthetics or?
As I was collecting flowers for Chevreuse I got to the fountain in Fontaine (lol) and could finally drop my sigils somewhere. Look at those tasty rewards, though sadly no leveling books. But I will definitely take those weapon gems, I’m in such desperate need of them. That made me reach AR 49!! And with the free wishes I got this Widsith book, is that good? Not that I have the resources to level any other weapon right now lol, first comes Chevreuse’s weapon and Varesa’s is still only at 70, and I need to level that new 5 star bow I got. Lots to do.
So tomorrow I want to continue leveling Chevreuse. Her talents are good for now I think. I don’t remember where I left off with her weapon or what I got stuck on (ascension materials or weapon gems) so I’ll look at that. Mostly what I need now for her I think is just leveling books to get her to level 60. Level 70 is still my stopping point, so I’ll do my best to level and maybe ascend her tomorrow. Speaking of, my Collei is still only at 60 even though I use her quite a lot. Not with Varesa now but I do like to use her otherwise, and she’s strong too. So I wanna do something about that soon too. But the problem there are the mushrooms lol what a pain. Oh and another thing is Varesa’s talents, I keep forgetting but I need more dino teeth for her, I actually already have a good amount of books just not the enemy materials.
That was the past few days then, I’m definitely enjoying being able to just focus on a character and do my very best to get them to a higher level and stuff. Exploring is fun too, I like Fontaine. If you have any advice or tips, let me know. And if you want to friend me in the game you can add me by my UID (in the corner of every photo), maybe you can help me with that stupid Fontaine talent domain lol! See you guys tomorrow, bye bye

The Widsith is a way better alternative than the Bond of Life book for Varesa.
Rightful Reward is pretty nice for Chevreuse. The 3\* polearm people reccomend is most likely "Black Tassel", it has less ATK than RR, but give almost double the %HP bonus at max level. Also the effect is pretty useless (+% DMG vs Slimes) compared to RR giving a bit of ER on healing.
Also cool beginning with the Fountain of Lucine, you'll come across various similar points of interest with lot of rewards in your adventures.
While i can't add you because of different server regions, i still wish you luck. o7
Sorry can't help with slide 15 ( I forgot)
hit it and it summons the nearby aircraft if it isn't there
I think
That "fuel pump" thingy iirc you hit it with either pneuma or ousia (those yellow or blue balls) and there will be somethimg inside. Either that or it summons a plane where you can ride but there should be an option to summon it if that's the case.
For the purple cell monsters, use Chevreuse's skill once you see their shield. It should instantly cause them to shrivel up. Or if it's a dendro shield you can also use electro and pyro to destroy it too. If it's a geo shield use a claymore, geo attacks, or plunges like from Varesa to quickly break them.
The Widsith is a very nice weapon. It gives powerful buffs - but the drawback is that the buffs it gives you are random. When you switch to the character using it, they get one of three 10-second buffs: a big attack boost, a big elemental damage boost, or a big Elemental Mastery boost. You can tell when the buff activates because a musical note appears over your character's head. You can even tell WHICH buff, if you've got a good eye - one note is the ATK buff, two notes is the elemental damage boost, and three notes is the EM buff.
Varesa loves the ATK and damage boosts - but she's not generally built for Elemental Reaction damage, so the EM buff isn't great for her. Still, two out of three isn't bad, so she'll USUALLY get something nice when it activates.
I did friend you in game last week - my in-game name is Aerynn. I'm usually too busy to co-op, but at the very least you can borrow my characters for Imaginarium Theater!
