Archon appreciation
So I was taking a walkabout of some scenic and nostalgic location when I had a realization. In a world were the death of even a weak god like Havria causes a tremendous calamity, a world riddled with the curses left behind by the fallen deities like Orobashi, Deshret, and probably countless others, so far all members of the Seven Archons who have perished left behind not a curse, but a blessing. Rhukhadevata, Egeria, Makoto, all of their remains have been used not to harm, but to save lives, and heal the land from the devastation of the abyss. Even if strength was a leading factor in deciding who triumphed in the Archon war, it seems to me that those gods which did prevail were none the less among the most selfless and devoted of them all.

If we follow the logic of physical death bringing about some kind of calamity the way Havria and Orobashi's did, Deshret can be considered to be in an adjacent category since it seems like separating from his body to merge with the structures and the mortal souls of his kingdom was the trigger for Forbidden Knowledge to affect the desert. But unlike Havria and Oroboshi who were killed by outside forces and considered dead after the fact, most tellings of Deshret's story amongst the Eremites seem to consider Deshret's 'death' to be after Rukkhadevata helped him to sacrifice himself.
Maybe it's better to see Deshret as being the source of his own calamity but who also tried to fix it with some help. He's a bit of a special case compared to most fallen gods in that way.
