Buying? You craft these, with every region having their own blueprints. You can get the blueprints from quests / exploration and the parts from weekly bosses. Some of these are actually pretty good non-gacha weapons for certain characters.

It depends if you need them for your character or not. If you have better alternatives from the gacha, you can use those, 4* weapons are really good too. It honestly depends on what you have and I can't give a clear answer without knowing that. Don't craft weapons just to craft them because billets are valuable and hard to come by.

billets arent that valuable, i have 5+ billets for each weapon type collecting dusts since 2021.
they arent hard to get, especially now that we have SO MANY weekly bosses.
back in the day there are only two or three good craftable weapons, like proto amber. in most cases you would stick with favonius and other gacha weapons (widsith, sacrificial, etc).
to OP, youre still in the early game, just craft proto archaic use it on diluc until you can get a better weapon for him

I agree with you overall, but many weekly bosses =/= many billets, unfortunately. It all comes down to RNG :( It's been ages since I've seen a billet and I'm doing most of the bosses each week

idk because i stopped doing weekly bosses, i only do the chess boss and sometimes that dragon boss in natlan, but back in 2021-22 (when i do all bosses every week) i got 30+ billets over a year, some of which i still have till today. glory days

It's hard for newcomers to get billets, especially because they have so much to farm and have a lack of resources compared to us late game players. I think it's harder for a new player to afford doing all the weekly bosses per week when they need to focus on building one (potentially two) teams if they're barely interested in endgame content.
