Ps4 uptade issues

So today I launched the game, but it wouldn't let me play because it needed to update to 6.30. This already seemed strange to me because pre-updates are optional and still allow me to play.

The update finishes and I launch the game, but it doesn't work. It gives me an error, and when I try to launch the game, it keeps closing and reopening on its own.

Now I've deleted the update and restarted it, but it says it's updating to 6.2. What's going on? Any solutions?

EDIT:Yes I know that ps4 will not be supported anymore, but this will happen in a few months, I was hoping that I would be able to play this version.

Also maybe the problem is caused from the fact that yesterday I didn't close the game, actually I just put the ps4 on stanby

I don't know if you've heard but Genshin announced on Aug 6, 2025, that it will discontinue support on the PS4

They said that on February You can no longer make in-app purchases and as of August 4, 2026, you will no longer be able to update it (so you can no longer play). But it's January.

I see what you mean about it still being there and it's already january and the app is still on your PS4 screen(Same), but in all honesty, they have already decided to move to the PS5 version and won't be coming back to the PS4 version, due to the PS5 version offering and having more advanced hardware features and being more compatible.

( Your options are prob buying a PS5 if you like console gaming, or just going on pc and connecting it to a controller using Bluetooth)

I will buy a new phone soon. But if thay say a date, it must be that date. I dunno, now I install 6.2 and just hope that everything fixes itself

OP should link his PSN account to his Hoyoverse account, this allows them to play on consoles other than Playstation. Used Series S can be had for peanuts depending on where in the world they are

I updated my PS4 and played the game just fine today. so yes, they will be removing it but they haven't yet.

if it forced you to update maybe its some bug on ps4 thinking its already release date?

but servers not updated yet and its just crashes. Try launch tomorrow after global update

How it went?
Today I downloaded ps4 pre-update and later played game as always.

I re-downloaded the 6.2 and now it works. But now I'm afraid to start the 6.3 pre downlaod😅😅

Also I find out that I have to change my hoyoverse mail to my new one... I hope to not loose all my progress

If you play other games on the PS or are wanting to, I think this might be a sign to upgrade to PS5 or a PC. My PS4 won’t even turn on anymore 😅
