Which Genshin region do you think aged the best ?
With how much the game has expanded, I’ve been thinking about which regions still feel great to play now, not just when they first released.
For me, Mondstadt still feels weirdly cozy, but Sumeru’s design might be the most consistently fun to explore.

Those goddamn cactus fruits bruh...
Both cosy and wild places coexist and landscapes are quite varied and pretty to explore.
And each year we come back for Lantern Rite for an amazing experience when everyone comes from all countries to enjoy.
In short, Liyue aged well like a good Osmanthus wine. Not surprising since it's Hoyo favorite child.
P.S : I don't count Natlan it's too young to be compared here.
it "aged" the best overall. at first i didnt like it but when i actually started doing the world quests in the desert just before fontaine patch i fell in love with it.
mond/liyue are eternal classics, inazuma aged horribly, fontaine was great during its patch cycle, natlan is peak all around the board
but ya sumeru had the most improvement imo. it starts off as a drag, but the quests are just amazing and really help you come to appreciate the landscape
Dragonspine is the only expansion that gets events when they want to do something for Winter.
It released in January 31, 2024. It's only going to be in it's 2nd year this month, why you gotta make it sound older than that 😅
I dunno, somthing about it's aesthetic and music drags me right back there.
