Should I aim for Neuvilette or someone else?

I’m currently struggling with deciding who my second main DPS in Genshin Impact should be.

I already have some characters built, but I’m not sure which DPS would actually fit my team best in the long run. I already have Arlecchino she is basically my main DPS together with Bennett, Xingqui and Succrose.

I’m also questioning whether I even need to focus on a second main DPS right now — for example someone like Neuvillette or if it would make more sense to fully build my team around Arlecchino first and really invest into her supports and synergy. What about the upcoming ones like Columbina or Ineffa?

Basically, I’m torn between pulling for another main DPS or optimizing what I already have. Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated.

There is no specific reason i just stopped playing him back then and i think he is not the strongest dps. But i haven’t played him in like 2 years so maybe i am wrong😅

Itto is definitely not the strongest, no. You can make him work decently well, but you'll have to invest heavily on him. Dedicated supports, constellations, weapons, extra artifact grinding... you have no clue how much I invested just to make Noelle viable in late game content, but hey, no regrets.

Neuvilette is definitely a good addition to your account.

No, neuvilette is the worse option for you, he need extremely high amount of summons to even stay relevant (C1R1 furina kazuha xilonen), and he doesnt bring any open world benefits either.

To be honest, you are far from endgame content, but im gonna guess you have A LOT of exploration to do. If you will play this game a lot and do all that exploration then Varesa is actually your best option, she is the best exploration character even outisde of Natlan, running really fast and killing everything in open world easily, and her current banner will give you a good team: Varesa iansan chev +1 (maybe xiangling).

Columbina+Ineffa gonna be the best for META, but by the time you will start caring about it we will be near 6.6-6.7, with other big character showing up and looking for whats new in 7.0

Really because I saw on tiktok that Neuvilette would be a great and flexible dps for any character. What about my Arlecchino team focus on that or focus on building a second team? Thanks for your help!

Well almost all the time "flexible" DPS means that its does dogshit damage in many diferent teams.

Your arlechino is fine for now, she have better teams, but not worthy to go for that now (in terms of dmg)

Definitely choose Neuvillette if you want a flexible DPS. Neuvillette only want reaction so You just need a sub dps/ support that can deal dmg off field like fischl, collei, lisa, ect.

Those teams are bad, try a C0 neuv with prot amber and fisch collei sucrose, its a dogshit team.

Something "flexible" is bad if its doesnt have many good variations, and neuv has only one or two, which now is not at the same level than 2025-2026 DPS.

1. Varesa banner already end and they didn't even mention they want to pull for Varesa

2. Again, base on their character I assume they are beginner. Why would a beginner care about lunar reaction? Did you really think they can clear abyss floor 12 or gold level SO with those characters?

3. Columbina is Archon equivalent, she will get a rerun soon if they want her later.

4. Neu is f2p and beginner friendly. Easy to play and can be paired with many characters. For a beginner Neu would definitely benefits them

Depends on what purpose you're pulling for.

If I'm being honest Ineffa or Zibai will probably do more damage than Neuvilette in endgame content right now.

If you're looking for just casual gameplay? pick up Varesa now if you have the primos and want a super fast character for exploration or Neuvilette for okay damage and comfort. They're comparable in damage but Varesa surpasses Neuvillete once you get some constellations on her supports.

Columbina is just a buffer but if you decide to get any of Flins, Ineffa, Lauma, or Zibai, she'll make the team Top DPS level.

I don’t really want to go for Varesa I am thinking of Ineffa and Neuvilette or flins and later Columbia if this makes sense😂
