Nod krai may not have been made last minute but it IS filler
So far absolutely no major story progression has happened whatsoever all we really have gotten is some exposition dumps from Nicole
Mavuika still has her gnosis, let’s be honest, the shades aren’t showing up until snezh at the earliest. No way we even get dignified with another ronova eye scene
A region can have heavy amounts of story but still be filler if it doesn’t advance the main story at all and that’s exactly what nod krai is, explaining the story of the game that was already there in lore books but not in the game
No relation to the main story tho
Nod krai is the equivalent of the game’s backstory being explained to us before we enter the actual final story arc

and the mask drops
They could have properly introduced Alice and Varka at anytime during the past 4 years
You’re an awful liar
So far, Nod Krai got nothing
I guess Khaenriah and moon lore means nothing now huh
I'm honestly not sure myself. Last minute meaning 2 years of preparation, too.
Ever since the sibling told us to "reach the end of our story", finding the other Sibling lost half of the importance.
Plus NK had our whole interaction with fake sibling, showing what the traveler is capable of doing, which also kinda made they question their actions. It was a very important step that showed made them question, 'what if the true sibling changed like that?', right?
Tsaritsa collecting Gnosis for... Something. We still don't know the true motivation behind it all, plus Mav keeping her Gnosis and the harbingers all dissolving is quite interesting to how they will reason with the Teyvat border smasher Pyro Archon, without their best agents.
Pierro having a grudge against the shades and Mav using power from one of them will be quite interesting if they connect these dots, I think.
Borders could have been introduced anytime post 5.1 when we saw the false sky.
Durin was already a thing since Simulanka
How is Deshret relevant to the Main arc?
Sandrone talking about Narcizenkreuz was a lore crumb that only activated if you did the WQ. Otherwise, not relevant.
Moon related characters couldve been fit into Snezhnaya's AQ.
Hyperborea is just another ancient civilization that could have been in any WQ
None of these things justified delaying the game a whole year to convey. They did it for money. Nod Krai IS filler.

It makes sense no major stuff has happened since Nod Krai wasn’t part of the roadmap trailer back when the game came out. Now are they doing a good job tying up those storylines? Depends how invested you are and if you actually have read the previous lore and all. Personally, the Natlan storylines with the previous Pyro Archon(s) and the Dragonlord character were overwhelming mostly with all the different names and location names being so ridiculously long and similar looking.
Edit: 6 day old account… and others have already pointed out OP making various posts like these.
yes, its a filler
With nod krai we got (and will get more in 6.3) to know about the spaceship, dottore finally reveals himself, Alice and Nicole showing up, duron, varka, just these characters with so much buildup showing up feels like years of waiting has been worth it.
I guess filler got a whole new meaning now
That's only an issue if there's reason to expect all of the Harbingers to normally be there which... there isn't. You're also assuming that Snezhnaya's story is complete and immutable, and there's no way Mihoyo could rewrite it to include or exclude a few characters.
But certainly, Nod Krai isn't a filler.
Calling it a filler would imply that there's an overall narrative that it's filling a gap in, which isn't the case.
Genshin's story isn't structured as one big unified story. It's a series of barely connected short stories. If anything relevant happens in Snezhnaya or later, I'm sure Mihoyo will just exposition dump a tl;dr of the relevant information. The way the game is, with a regional story released once a year, and an update to the Dain questline once a year, they'd almost kind of have to anyways.
Inserting a story in between what you were originally planning to do to fill in some plot holes isn't inserting a filler arc, it's just inserting another short story.
Actually, with Dain showing up in the actual archon quest this time, I wouldn't be surprised if Nod Krai wasn't intended to just be the Dain quest for the Snezhnaya arc, but that ended up being so long they felt the need to expand it to an entire region.
I think it should be what we expected though, since we travelled almost all of Teyvat with the only place left is Snezhnaya (if we exclude Nodkrai as a so-called "filler"). With the mysterious on-going Project Stuzha and Snezhnaya having most of the Gnoses, I doubt the Harbringers would go anywhere else except gathering their forces preparing for war with the Celestial.
Or being sent out to do preparation work, or cleaning up loose ends elsewhere, etc., etc.
They could be absent for any number of reasons.
Filler is content you can skip without changing the story. I would argue that so far, Nod-krai is among the least skippable archon quests. You don't have you enjoy it if you don't like the story, but that doesn't make it filler.
the guy just spams post, what feels like, every 2 hours at this point
