Illuga sucks ass
Illuga sucks hard. Like, what do you mean he is a specialist support tailor-made for a specific reaction and is still such d*g sh*t? Characters like Ineffa and Lauma are genuinely strong and flexible, and they can be used outside of Nefer/Flins teams. Illuga, on the other hand, feels completely locked into his niche and isn’t even that great there.
The problem with LCR isn’t the reaction itself, or Illuga being a 4-star compared to Ineffa or Lauma — it’s the lack of good Geo supports.
There are godlike 4-stars who rival C2 5-stars at C6, like Iansan dethroning Xilonen from Mavuika teams, or Chevreuse, who is the god of Overload, turning it from a casual reaction no one cared about into an Abyss/Stygian-clearing reaction. Or Bennett, who is the true Pyro Archon. And Paimon is… Paimon.
I liked Illuga’s character design and was excited for him, thinking he would be something like Bennett for Geo. But Hoyo doesn’t like making male characters godlike unless they’re twinks.
Geo deserved a Chevreuse before it needed a Mavuika.

Also, they have been making 4 stars as dedicated support to specific niches, gameplay loops or characters for literal years now
Being a dedicated support doesn't mean like being illuga... Escoffier was a dedicated support and still best outside skirk even making Ayaka deal higher dmg than skirk without Escosiffer.
As I have already said in my post being a 4 star is no excuse iansan dethrones xilonen even at c2

Does Iansan provide resistance shred on top of Scroll?
Does Iansan provide healing?
Does Iansan provide a damage boost based on her def?
Does Iansan have on her kit Innately Xilonen C2?
The answer to all those questions is no
2. Even if she does, she’s an exception, not the rule. The amount of 4* better than 5* can be counted on the hands
nieche support there is.
At least the Natlanese don't become worse without other characters from the same region, meanwhile the Nod-Kraians have a Reaction system locked behind the moon. It's literally "get a 5 star or get lost". He's just a victim of that type of game design.
