WuWa has several aspects where it clears Genshin. Story is not one of them. After the first few patches they've been consistently making harem-bait women who disappear after their banner duration is done. And they've been doing way too many "epic moments" or whatever over actual story writing. Kinda like Zack Snyder's Superman.
If you're into that, you do you, but from a general standpoint Genshin's writing is far better than WuWa.

Not to mention the forced harem bait. Or the endless info dump of a story. Or the complete disinterest in creating pay-offs to the plot threads it creates. Or the emphasis on hype and aura over actual earned catharsis.
And I'm not being tribalistic. WuWa is a good game, but don't lie and say it has good writing. It creates the wrong expectations.

I enjoy the game really like moving around in that vast open world. Battling difficult Holograms and many other things BUT the story. WuWa's story has always felt like it focuses on the banner character first and the overarching plot and lore second, I mean the way rover is glazed in WuWa is very telling.
Now granted some of them character stories really are great and because of that I do like some of these characters but I have zero feelings and intrigue towards Solaris 3.
Whereas in Genshin Teyvat's World Building feels like I am playing Elden Ring with how deep and intriguing the lore is.
WuWa's greatest strength is it's presentation and that's it and I am enjoying it for that not every game has to have deep and complex lore tied to everything like Genshin u know.
